Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a SCQM : a Supply Chain & Quality Manager and New product Introduction Leader (f/m) to join our Procurement Industrial department based in Toulouse, France.

Commodity : for Equipment & System.

You will be part of a team developing Single Aisle Supplier activities . As part of the Procurement Industrial Equipments & System transversal team (PIEAI), you will be involved in supplier control and supplier development aiming at securing Aircraft deliveries on time an Quality . PIEAI is a young (June 2023) transversal team composed of Quality Specialists and NPI Leaders. Its main objective is to support the operational teams in PIEA. The scope of concerned products is wide going from mechanical to electronic parts including computers, with suppliers based in Europe, Asia and US.

NPI Leader's main mission is to manage NPI (New Product Introduction), MOD (Modification of Design), ToW (Transfers of Work) and Call for tender activities across PIEA. This includes APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) deployment and ASR (Airbus Supplier Requirements) compliance.

Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!

Procurement Industrial Department : With >2500 people from 24 nationalities spread across 11 countries daily working with 3000+ suppliers to deliver 2.3 millions of parts per day to Airbus FALs & Plants, Procurement Industrial is both an international and challenging environment. Our activity represents around 80% of an aircraft.

PI department works on 3 main activities:

  • Supply Management (Where quality, time and cost are our main concerns)
  • Control Supplier (Where we ensure our flyable products continuously meets our Airbus Supplier’s Requirements)
  • Supplier Development (Where we anticipate complex issues, mitigate risks and develop supplier’s capabilities).

Your challenges:

  • Manage critical and strategic topics for the department across a wide scope of mechanical and electronic components.
  • Drive supplier performance and capabilities ensuring that quality, delivery times, and costs continuously meet Airbus Requirements.
  • Support APQP application by actively being part of the department's APQP leader pool.
  • Coach and support both international suppliers and internal Supply Chain Quality Managers (SCQM) on associated quality and supply processes.
  • Manage associated subcontracted quality activities and support global governance definition to influence continuous improvement.

Grading 13 position.

Your boarding pass:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain / Quality Management .
  • Proven professional experience in industrial knowledge, with a strong interest or background in Supply Chain and Quality topics .
  • Technical expertise in project management basics, supplier control frameworks, and industrial manufacturing environments .
  • Strong understanding of quality standards , where advanced knowledge of Airbus Supplier Requirements (ASR) and APQP methodologies is a strong asset .
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills /Influence on others / Coaching skills / Curiosity & willingness to learn / Assertiveness
  • Advanced English proficiency combined with outstanding communication, coaching skills, assertiveness, and a strong willingness to learn .
