Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supply Chain Quality Manager in Surface Treatment (f/m) to join our Composites & Chemicals Team based in Toulouse, France.

You will join the Procurement Operations - Paints/Coatings, Sealants and Related Services department !

Being part of our team will allow you to gain new skills, knowledge and experience. This will enable you to make an immediate contribution to Supply Chain Management.

Our department supplies materials, products or services to Airbus production sites and to our suppliers, on time and with the required level of quality. We work as a team with Airbus manufacturing sites, Airbus buyers and our suppliers to achieve industrial excellence.

We manage qualification as well as a global supply chain for chemicals and paint products, in close collaboration with the plants, the Final Assembly Lines and the paint shops.

Your challenges :

  • Managing contract execution: being responsible for supplier On Quality On Time (On Cost when applicable) Perform an effective control of supplier activities, securing a close understanding of supplier overall situation and scope.
  • Implementing recovery, improvement and development plan in order to secure delivery of the products and services in conformity with contract.
  • Coordinating the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier operations management and secure coordination with the correspondingMulti-Functional or Divisional Team (MFT/MDT).
  • Acting as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier toward internal functions.
  • Assessing suppliers during tendering phase and contributing to the selection decision.
  • Managing supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and on Cost when applicable) performance.
  • Managing supplier quality Approval/Authorization, ensuring that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring or supporting new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase. Providing consolidated forecast to suppliers and ensuring that suppliers will have the required capacity.
  • Assessing the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contributing to the Supplier development.
  • Identifying the supplier industrial risks and proposing mitigation actions.
  • Working out short term recovery plans.
  • Initiating and managing supplier performance improvement projects, setting long term development targets together with the suppliers and in coordination with the Supplier Development Team
  • Contributing to the annual Supplier Evaluation Development (SED).
  • Presenting the situation of the supplier on operational performance (KPIs, assessments..) during transfunctional meetings and maintaining a close communication and coordination with the operational teams at internal customer sites, to ensure the contribution of all relevant functions to the delivery of procured goods or services. ;


This job will imply frequent travels so you will need to be available in consequence.

Your boarding pass :

  • 5 year degree or equivalent,- Mandatory Knowledge of surface treatment, materials chemistry or special processes activities
  • Supply Chain & Quality or Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering or Customer Support Experience : 3-5 years
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain fundamentals: APICS Basics or equivalent - Product knowledge: Engineering background is an asset - Quality Standards/Methods: knowledge of problem solving methods, and process improvement skills (SPC, MSA, etc), knowledge of quality standards and regulations (QMS, Nadcap, EMS...) is an asset.- Project Management: basic knowledge
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Stakeholders management - Leadership: influencing skills, ability to manage conflicts, assertiveness, team spirit.
  • English at advanced level,
  • French: negotiation level
  • Any other language is an asset
