Job Description

Job Description:

A new opportunity has arisen as Quality Conformance Manager (QCM) for the Horizontal Tail Planes’ production lines at Getafe Plant (Madrid). The successful applicant will join the operational quality QMGA department.

Quality is at the heart of every production process, and in the aerospace sector, where the safety of hundreds of millions of travelers every year is at stake, it becomes even more essential. As QCM, you will integrate into a young team of dedicated, collaborative and energetic professionals devoted to ensuring it through the supervision and continuous improvement of shop floor processes. You will have the opportunity to grow your career by engaging with many different stakeholders inside and outside Airbus, from local officers to final customer representatives.

RESPONSABILITIES
You will be accountable for the development of new projects within the department to standardize and digitalize current methods and routines, fostering innovation by contributing to industrialization initiatives that aim at providing added value to the final product beyond guaranteeing its overall quality.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will range from:

  • Driving quality transformation, by coordinating the implementation of disruptive solutions in close coordination with international local teams at Plant and FAL levels.
  • Facilitating the resolution of complex quality issues by enhancing Practical Problem Solving endeavors.
  • Disputing current ways of working to identify possible improvements that help increase processes performance, guaranteeing their repeatability and reliability.
  • Setting the quality requirements for the products and leading their correct transference to the shop floor through their inclusion in the inspection dossier, ensuring that the staff hold the right Quality Authorizations to perform the tasks.
  • Dealing with internal and external customers and airlines, preserving the alignment between Quality Standards and perceived condition.
  • Promoting the quality mindset and good practices within the production teams.

SKILLS
We are looking for young talents that are enthusiastic about their work and passionate about the issues that the aerospace industry is facing. The candidates should feature the following competences:

  • Educated to a Master’s Degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering. It would be desirable to be already knowledgeable in the fields of Aerospace and industrial manufacturing, but it is not a must.
  • Valuable IT skills, showing an interest in pioneering the use of the latest technologies such as autonomous systems, artificial intelligence or data analytics. Good programming skills and familiarity with big data are a plus.
  • Responsibility for one's ideas and their realization.
  • Proactivity and agility, with the ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Autonomy and organization skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an advanced level in English and Spanish.
