Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a

Junior Software Engineer in Simulation Eurofighter (d/f/m)

At Airbus Defence & Space we are developing high fidelity Eurofighter Engineering and Training Simulators for a variety of applications over the entire development lifecycle. At the core, our Simulations are distributed real-time applications. We are looking for a Software Engineer for design, development and integration of models in flight simulation. You will be working in an international team, located in Manching, Germany.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop Simulation models representing aircraft equipment within the simulation (mainly C++)
  • Develop tools to stimulate Simulators and Simulations
  • Create and perform unit tests of Software modules
  • Create tools for improving our development processes (e.g. code generators)
  • Integrate models into the aircraft simulation (C++/Ada)
  • Perform integration testing
  • Documentation of the appropriate software modules
  • Product ownership for smaller subsystems

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Interest in flight simulators, software development and integration
  • Knowledge of object orientated programming and scripting languages, in particular C++, bash, Python
  • Analytical & structured thinking
  • Agile Development Methodologies desired
  • Very good English skills, written and spoken, are required
  • Previous experience with the Eurofighter aircraft is a plus

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
