We are currently looking for the Head of Global Business Development & Partnerships based in Europe to join the global Satair Product Management team composed of 200 diverse individuals.
You will be part of Satair which is a key part of the Airbus Customer Services unit and a $4 billion-turnover global company (100% subsidiary of Airbus) with more than 2,000 employees, operating from 10 locations worldwide.

How you will contribute to the team
As HO Global Business Development you are one of the most relevant players for growth of SATAIR in the frame of Airbus Customer Services Ambition 2030.
To achieve our goal to more the double the revenues in the next 5 years you drive the business development strategy in collaboration with Product Lines leaders, aligning with Airbus Procurement Leadership and building on the following strategic avenues:
- Steering of projects involving Airbus Procurement commodities to capture additional aftermarket business,
- Expand Engine content
- Development of new business models for current product lines
- Identification & execution of relevant partnership
- Management of new OEM campaigns
- Proactive Merger and Acquisitions
You are the leader of a highly skilled and strongly motivated team of 10 employees working mainly in Denmark and the USA but also in Germany and China.
As a member of the Product Management leadership team you are able to identify and harvest synergies within the wider Airbus group, contributing as well to achieve Airbus objectives in the different regions of the world.
ABOUT YOU
- Experienced senior manager with a strong network in the aviation industry. A background in commercial aircraft spares parts aftermarket, OEM distribution and/or services would be ideal. Ideally the candidate has a solid track in business development, M&A, sales & commercial, procurement or supply chain.
- Strong business acumen, a strategic vision and a solid track record in business development or M&A &L are as fundamental as a clear understanding of the financial impact of his/her decisions.
- Ability to drive and encourage change is fundamental in our very dynamic business environment.
- Ability to build relationships inside and outside the company and ability to manage negotiations and drive opportunities with external stakeholders on eyes level. It includes collaborating transversally with other leaders in Satair, strong in networking within the Airbus family and into the global commercial aviation community.
- Appetite on working transnationally both with customers, suppliers (in this case OEMs) and with the own teams. This requires a certain personal mobility and the availability for some travel activities.
- Good communication skills
- Effective in leading people across continents and time zones. Needs to give guidance and support. Give trust and liberties to a very self-confident team, while maintaining track in the frame of overall company objectives (strategic, operational, financial)
- Negotiation level in English is mandatory, any other additional language skills are very welcome.
