Job Description:

Airbus Asia Training Centre (AATC) is currently looking for a Flight Simulator Maintenance Technician / Senior Technician to join the team.

In this role, you will perform shift duties based on assigned roster to ensure operational readiness and performance capability of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD) in order to achieve annual reliability target of >99%.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Personally accountable for high quality and timely actions when performing trouble-shooting interventions following FSTD failures or reports of discrepancies.
  • Accountable for performing ad-hoc technical trouble-shooting, sometimes without immediate supervision, to minimize the time lost and disruption to FSTD users.
  • Prepares training devices for daily operation and follows maintenance activities or between user sessions.
  • Promptly communicates to line management on all matters for their attention.
  • Ensures clear and effective communication when completing DR comments & Work Orders.
  • Ability to interact effectively with users to help determine root causes of failures and discrepancies.
  • Ensure training devices operate at the correct level required by customers through timely configuration changes and software updates when applicable.
  • Complies with the Compliance Monitoring System at all times.
  • Conducts tests, checks and other preventive maintenance activities in accordance with the preventive maintenance schedules and notify line management of discoveries and trends that may lead to future failures.
  • I dentify competency deficiencies and request assistance through line management.

  • Expected work pattern: 07:30-19:30-07:30 12 Hour shift - 4 day cycle: [Day] [Night] [Off] [Rest]
  • Works safely and in compliance with the AATC WSH Policy and Management Plan
  • Behaves ethically at all times and promotes sustainability within areas of control
  • Contributes to a positive working environment
  • Promotes and demonstrates the Airbus values

Job Requirements:

  • Higher Educational Qualification in Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering discipline
  • Innovative, resourceful, logical and compliant
  • Excellent command of IT and keeps abreast of technological advancements
  • Team fit and effective communicator
  • Customer oriented focus
  • Able to perform shift work
  • Workshop practices basics e.g. soldering , drilling , fastening
