Job Description:
Position Summary
This position supports the development and customization of aircraft cabin and cargo interiors / payloads for airline customers. Duties include performing engineering design, analysis and integration of aircraft interior components and systems from initial conceptual phase to final product installation, and providing engineering support to airline customers in the operation of the aircraft.
Primary Responsibilities
- Technical Solutions: 95%
- Develop design solutions to a wide range of simple to routine technical problems. Review and interpret design data of aircraft structures and develop quality solutions.
- Create or modify technical documents within various Airbus computer based applications with high quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with appropriate Airbus departments to develop optimum solutions. Perform functional and technical tasks with guidance.
- Develop materials for team related briefings to internal and/or external customers.
- Able to understand project planning requirements and implement activities to achieve customer requirements.
- Effectively communicates issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work to supervision.
- Develop design solutions to a wide range of simple to routine technical problems. Review and interpret design data of aircraft structures and develop quality solutions.

Qualified Experience and Training
Required Education
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
Preferred Education
- Minor in Computer Science
Required Experience
- 0 to 3 years total experience in design/analysis with cabin and cargo and/or system installation projects
Preferred Experience
- Internship in the aerospace engineering field
Travel Required
- 10% Domestic and International

- Understands basic technical principles, theories, and concepts applying textbook solutions to solve routine technical problems.

- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures and bill of material systems.
- Able to prioritize concurrent assignments with guidance.
- Capable of creating and delivering technical documents and presentations with guidance.
- Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)
- 3D Modeling Experience (CATIA or 3D experience preferred)
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities
- Software coding in C, C++, Python, or other programming languages.
Required Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and disciplines.
- Effectively communicates issues, solutions, ideas, and status of current work to the Lead
Preferred Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)
- Conversational French and/or German

Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer. Daily
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor. Daily
