What you’ll build:

As a Technical Service Manager (TSM) with a Security Expert focus, you will be a senior SAP Technical Consultant specializing in safeguarding customer environments, driving secure cloud adoption, and ensuring robust protection of SAP landscapes. You will play a pivotal role in SAP's Global strategy, helping customers achieve secure digital transformation with SAP S/4HANA.

Technical Service Manager (TSM) acts as a trusted technical advisor in the safeguarding and optimization of customer investments into SAP ECS. TSM owns the customer landscape and advise on critical and complex landscape changes during life cycle management. TSM will work as a team with Customer Delivery Managers (CDMs) and ECS internal service delivery to serve and delight our customers, by providing quality services throughout their entire lifecycle.

This is a customer-facing role focused on Large & Strategic Customers where you will be part of the Enterprise Cloud Services delivery organization.

Following are the key tasks that this role will perform:

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer technology and security discussions, including risk assessments and compliance requirements.
  • Lead technical and security discussions, orchestrating SAP experts to address cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own and maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer landscapes, with a focus on identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Support CDMs and TechOps teams in executing secure service delivery plans and calendars, ensuring alignment with security best practices.
  • Analyze customer technical and security requirements, coordinate ECS Delivery experts, and drive resolution of security-related topics to customer satisfaction.
  • Present private offering intricacies, technical details, and security engagement models to stakeholders.
  • Build customer-specific cloud roadmaps emphasizing Infrastructure Security Architecture, Technical Managed Security Services, and secure integration.
  • Guide customers on all technical aspects, with a strong emphasis on Business Continuity, Security & Compliance, Networks, and Cybersecurity.
  • Assess customer security and network requirements, ensuring SAP’s security architecture framework meets or exceeds customer needs.
  • Conduct monthly technical and operational reviews, measuring progress against defined Cloud Security architecture and roadmap; establish and drive resolution plans for security issues.
  • Support migration roadmaps with a focus on secure transitions, working with partners, System Integrators, and SAP Professional Services.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology, tools, and security implications.
  • Understand SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios, with a focus on secure connectivity to BTP, Ariba, SuccessFactors, etc.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or Cybersecurity.
  • High proficiency in customer communications and presentations, especially on security topics.
  • Deep understanding of SAP product portfolio, offerings, industry solutions, and security features.
  • Strong grasp of operational (Application or Technical) and security aspects of SAP solutions in cloud environments
  • Expertise in at least one Hyperscale Cloud (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP), with a focus on cloud security controls.
  • Willingness to undertake customer-related travel, including for security audits or incident response.

To excel in the Security Expertized Technical Service Manager role, candidates are expected to demonstrate advanced knowledge and hold relevant certifications in information security and cloud security. The following certifications are highly valued and may be required or preferred:

  • SAP Security Certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Security Architect)
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • TOGAF (with a focus on security architecture)
  • Cloud Security Certifications for major providers:
    • AWS Certified Security – Specialty
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
    • Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
  • Additional relevant certifications such as SAP NetWeaver Security, OS/DB Migration with Security Emphasis, and SAP HANA Security are considered a plus.

Candidates with these certifications will be prioritized, as they demonstrate a commitment to best practices in cybersecurity, risk management, and secure cloud operations.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of SAP Basis administrative duties, including security hardening and audit support REQUIRED.
  • 8+ years of customer-facing SAP Technical Consulting experience.
  • 8+ years of solution design, enterprise architecture, SAP implementation, and security architecture.
  • SAP NetWeaver, OS/DB migration, SAP HANA, TOGAF, and security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SAP Security) are a plus..
  • Experience and certifications with IaaS Providers (AWS, MS Azure, or GCP), especially in cloud security.
  • SAP HANA and S/4 HANA skills, with a focus on security configuration and monitoring.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security, including Cybersecurity, Encryption, Key Management, Threat Detection, and Incident Response.

Customer Delivery Engagement (CDE) organization is the global team within SAP Enterprise Cloud Services organization overseeing all aspects of the Customer Engagement from the point of sale throughout the entire lifecycle and providing commercial, project, and technical operations expertise. They deliver fixed-scope, proactive and outcome-based services across the entire SAP software stack to SAP’s RISE customers.
