The role:

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (f/m/d) who is passionate about platform engineering and automation to join our Lifecycle Management team in Sofia.

In this role, you will play a key role in building enterprise cloud infrastructure that provides European data sovereignty and hyperscaler-grade capabilities. You will take ownership of critical shared systems within SAP Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring they are reliable, maintainable, and continuously improved.

What you’ll do:

• You will take ownership of shared platform systems such as CI/CD platforms (e.g. Concourse, AWX, Netbox) used for deployments and infrastructure operations.
• You will operate, maintain, and improve Kubernetes-based environments and shared services (e.g. ingress, cert-manager)
• You will design and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows for enterprise cloud services.
• You will drive system upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities running across SCI control planes
• You will troubleshoot complex issues across multiple layers (CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure)
• You will collaborate with other teams (e.g. Managed Kubernetes team, Trust Services team, Release Management team) to ensure smooth ownership transitions and clear responsibilities

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go or other languages for building complex automation workflows
• Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. Concourse, Jenkins, GitLab CI or similar)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible or similar)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native technologies
• Experience working in agile, collaborative environments with distributed international teams
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in evolving environments
• Excellent team player, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven
• Excellent communication skills in English

• CI/CD tools (Concourse, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Terraform, Ansible or similar automation tools
• Linux environments
• Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) – nice to have
• Secrets management (e.g. Vault) – nice to ha
