What you’ll build
The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.
Position title: SAP Business Data Cloud iXp Intern – Fullstack Developer
Location: São Leopoldo, RS (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)
Expected start date to end date: July 20, 2026 – July 19, 2028 (up to 24 months)
- Build and ship features in TypeScript across both frontend (SAPUI5/Fiori) and Node.js services.
- Write Jest unit tests and contribute to end-to-end test automation with TestCafe.
- Develop REST endpoints and OpenAPI-documented APIs against SAP HANA Cloud.
- Deploy and debug services on SAP BTP Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate on the data discovery and governance experience of SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Adopt AI coding assistants and SAP Joule to accelerate day-to-day development.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing by documenting solutions and improving onboarding materials.
- Take ownership of small features end-to-end, from design discussion to production rollout.

- Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Software
- Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with graduation expected in approximately 24 months. Available 30 hours per week (9:00–12:00 and 13:00–16:00).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken, and to understand and actively participate in conversations.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of Node.js and unit testing fundamentals.
- Interest in web development and end-to-end test automation (e.g., TestCafe) is a plus.
- Curiosity about cloud-native development on SAP BTP, REST APIs, and modern Git-based workflows.
- Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related.

Be part of the BDC Catalog & Governance Services team in São Leopoldo, Brazil — a place where you’ll help shape the experience SAP customers use to discover, classify, profile, understand, and maintain all the data in their enterprise. Our team builds and operates the catalog at the heart of SAP Business Data Cloud, integrating with SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.
You’ll join a fast-growing engineering hub: SAP’s Brazil Data & Analytics presence began in 2020 and now spans more than 150 colleagues across multiple Core & Fabric Services teams. Catalog sits at a unique vantage point — you’ll see how data flows across SAP’s analytics portfolio, take real ownership of features end-to-end, and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers.
