Why Rolls‑Royce?

At Rolls‑Royce we are proud to be a business that has truly helped to shape the modern world and are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

By joining Rolls‑Royce, you'll have the opportunity to work on world-class solutions, supported by a culture that believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will get the chance to:

  • Manage issues affecting product maturity, lifecycle cost, reliability, and maintainability, ensuring they are addressed through design improvements or other means.
  • Support reliability management by monitoring performance against targets and analyzing disruption metrics based on historical data. Predict future safety and reliability performance using failure-rate analysis and statistical techniques, including Numerical Risk Assessment, Parametric Distribution, and fly-forward analysis.
  • Extract actionable insights from available data to quantify and improve fleet experience, system performance, and asset health management.
  • Creation and approval of Instruction of Continued Airworthiness to support maintenance and overhaul for Rolls-Royce Business Aviation engines.
  • Validation of methodologies for effective and sustainable maintenance activities (on-wing/off-wing).
  • Creation and approval of inspection criteria at component and system level.
  • Act as "Compliance Verification Engineer" to support changes to the type design.
  • Incorporation of physical and non-physical product changes into Rolls-Royce Instruction for Continued Airworthiness.
  • Identification of potential improvements to increase efficiency in the MRO area and the overall product Life-Cycle-Cost.
  • Working closely with internal and external customers like the Chief Engineers, MRO shops and Authorities.
  • Support Investigation of operational issues to develop containment, establish root cause and recommend corrective actions.

Who we are looking for:

  • Completed engineering degree in a technical field (aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering etc.) Master's degree or PhD.
  • Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer in the CS-E area.
  • Many years of experience in engine assembly, repair and overhaul.
  • Experience in dealing with authorities and regulations (EASA Part-21, Part-145, CS-E regulations, etc.).
  • Confident use of MS Office, SAP and Team Center.
  • Experience with ASD S1000D and S2000M desirable.
  • Knowledge of editorial systems (XML, SGML etc.).
  • Very good written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of German is an asset.
  • Communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide occasionally.
