Job Description

Job Description

Location: Derby Lombard Building
Reporting to: EHM Service Delivery Team Lead, Aftermarket Operations
Duration: Secondment Length, 12 months with potential to become permanent

We are excited to offer a challenging and development-focused secondment opportunity for a Service Delivery Engineer to join the Engine Health Management (EHM) team in Service Operations.

Our Data & Information team leverages cutting-edge digital technologies and analytic techniques to deliver timely, actionable intelligence, empowering Airline customers to optimise their operations, improve risk management, and enhance business predictability. Our EHM services are moving towards next-generation Azure-based toolsets, high-frequency data sources, and advanced analytics to stay at the forefront of our industry.

About the Role:
As a Service Delivery Engineer (Back Office), you will work as part of a dynamic team to provide critical asset control and intelligence solutions to our global Airline customers. You will play a key role in supporting 24x7 Engine Health Monitoring operations, diagnosing and managing emerging fleet issues to avoid in-service disruption, and supporting the ongoing transition to new digital platforms. This secondment provides an excellent opportunity to expand your technical skills, work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, and make a direct impact in a fast-evolving area. The role will be a days role with the expectation of 3 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

· Analyse gas turbine performance and mechanical data using the latest EHM tools and techniques to identify and log operational anomalies.

· Maintain equipment configuration and ensure that data is received, processed and interpreted correctly.

· Provide Airline customers with both rapid troubleshooting support and longer-term fleet management insights.

· Support customer training and capability development as needed.

· Engage with stakeholders across the business to evolve and improve EHM services, including participation in transitioning to new analytic platforms.

· Contribute to a culture of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost efficiency.

· Uphold and model Rolls-Royce values of ethical behaviour and team collaboration.

What We’re Looking For:

· Degree in Engineering, Science, IT, or a related discipline or relative experience.

· Strong numeracy, IT skills, and the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-moving technical environment.

· Effective in high-pressure situations and meeting tight deadlines.

· Proven interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate clearly at all levels, both verbally and in writing.

· A positive, proactive approach with team working capability and the ability to work independently.

· Broad stakeholder management experience desirable.

· Prior experience in EHM, service delivery, engine performance, service engineering or a closely related field is advantageous.

What We Offer:

· Opportunity to experience a different role or area of the business and broaden your skills.

· Exposure to innovative digital technologies and industry-leading analytics.

· Collaborative, fast-paced and supportive environment.

· A customer facing role supporting our fleet of 2,800 aircraft.

For further information, contact Nolmy McHugh Service Delivery Team Lead or George Campbell EHM Manager.

As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role. If required, full instructions for the next steps will be provided.
