Job Description

Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Bristol - BS5 6XX

Working pattern: 30 hours per week (Shift-based)

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Site Operations team powers the physical side of our marketplace through HOP (our rapid grocery delivery service) and Editions (our network of delivery-only kitchens). From launching new sites to ensuring operational excellence across markets, we combine retail and hospitality expertise with operational rigour. If you thrive in hands-on environments and want to help redefine how food and groceries reach customers—come join us on the ground.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Bristol team. In this role, you’ll be the beating heart of our day-to-day site operations, leading the team to ensure our customers receive their essentials quickly and accurately.

Get to know our Site Operations team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Deliveroo Hop team. We are a technology-driven team at the forefront of the rapid grocery industry, focusing on autonomy, ownership, and speed to bring the neighbourhood to our customers' doors.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Lead and motivate the site team both when the manager is present and during independent shifts, ensuring high energy and operational excellence.

  • Oversee order fulfillment to ensure all items are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately to meet strict time targets.

  • Manage inventory integrity by unloading deliveries, ensuring accurate product rotation, and conducting precise stock counts.

  • Maintain site safety and standards by completing H&S checks, resolving hazards urgently, and keeping the warehouse environment clean and tidy.

  • Optimise the delivery hand-off by communicating effectively with riders to ensure seamless transitions and prompt customer deliveries.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying operational bottlenecks and partnering with the Warehouse Manager to implement better ways of working.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate others in a fast-paced environment, ideally with experience coaching junior team members.

  • Strong operational rigour with a track record of hitting performance targets, such as pick times or delivery accuracy.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the initiative to work autonomously to improve site processes.

  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively between the warehouse team, management, and our rider community.

  • A proactive approach to safety and a detail-oriented mindset when it comes to inventory and compliance procedures.

  • Experience in similar environments (FMCG, Retail, Warehouse, or Last-mile delivery) is a significant plus.

Our Interview Process

  • Step 1: Apply

Apply for any role you’d like to be considered for. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

  • Step 2: Online assessment

If your application is successful, you’ll receive an assessment from our AI hiring assistant, Maki People.

  • Step 3: Initial conversation

If you’re successful at the assessment stage, one of our Recruitment team will get in touch. We’ll talk through your experience and what you’re looking for next.

  • Step 4: Final Onsite interview

If we decide to move forward, you’ll be invited to an onsite interview with one of our Site Managers to see the operation in action.

Why Join Us?

We’re food lovers, problem solvers, community organisers and more. All energised with an entrepreneurial, relentless spirit which helps us do big things as a team. In Operations, you’re at the heart of our marketplace — working directly with customers, riders and partners to keep Deliveroo moving.

  • 🔧 See the impact of your work in real time: Solve problems as they happen, turning challenges into positive experiences across our three-sided marketplace.

  • 🌱 Grow through doing: Develop leadership skills in a fast-paced environment, with structured progression pathways into Assistant Manager and Manager roles.

  • 🤝 Be part of a tight-knit, team-oriented culture: Work collaboratively to achieve shared goals in an environment that values support, ownership and resilience.

  • 🕒 Flexibility that works for you: We offer shift-based patterns to help you balance work with your life outside the warehouse.
