Job Description
Regional Launch Manager
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.
We’re looking for a Regional Launch Manager to join our North East team (must be based in Newcastle, Middlesbrough, or Sunderland). In this role, you’ll take direct ownership of results within your cities, leading a high-performing sales team to improve selection and execute hyper-local growth strategies.
Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the UK & Ireland Regional team. We are the experts in the local markets we serve, overseeing all three sides of our marketplace: restaurants, consumers, and riders. Our mission is to bring the best possible selection to our customers and drive growth for our partners across the North East.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Own City Performance: Act as the business owner for Growth KPIs and Customer Value Proposition (CVP) metrics across all segments in your territory.
Lead and Coach: Manage and develop a high-performance sales team of nine, providing the coaching and structure needed to hit ambitious monthly targets.
Strategic Planning: Identify selection gaps versus competitors and leverage local insights to build detailed plans that improve the restaurant mix in your cities.
Drive Operational Excellence: Set clear priorities for Account Managers to improve local metrics, including signage visibility, menu completeness, and order rejection rates.
Execute Tactical Activations: Lead "boots on the ground" initiatives, including guerrilla marketing activity and in-person activations to support regional growth projects.
Maximise Marketing Impact: Partner with the central Marketing team to identify key local media opportunities and ensure world-class delivery of campaigns in your area.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Commercial Leadership: Proven ability to lead sales or account management teams, with a track record of delivering outstanding commercial results.
Strategic Thinking: Strong commercial acumen and the ability to use data to identify performance gaps and growth opportunities.
Operational Excellence: Significant experience in relationship management or strategy roles within a fast-paced environment.
Action-Oriented Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys a mixture of field-based work (3–4 days per week) and office/home working.
Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of the North East landscape and a passion for driving local business growth.
