Job Description
HOP Site Team Leader
Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.
We’re looking for a HOP Site Team Leader to join our UK team. In this role, you’ll help us deliver operational excellence in our rapid grocery sites, ensuring customers get what they need in as little as 10 minutes.
Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Deliveroo HOP team. HOP is our speedy grocery delivery service, managing a network of dedicated stores designed for lightning-fast picking and packing to serve the last-minute needs of our customers.
Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
Lead shift operations by effectively prioritising tasks and working alongside your team to achieve site-wide performance goals and KPIs.
Supervise order fulfilment to ensure every basket is picked efficiently and accurately, maintaining strict quality assurance and packaging standards.
Drive operational compliance by coaching the team on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensuring all Health & Safety checks are diligently completed.
Manage inventory and stock integrity through accurate replenishment, temperature regulation monitoring, and meticulous stock counts to minimise wastage.
Oversee the dispatch process, communicating professionally with Deliveroo riders to ensure a seamless hand-off and a positive delivery experience.
Maintain site standards by upholding merchandising principles and ensuring a clean, organised environment for all colleagues and external partners.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
Demonstrated leadership capability with experience training associates and the confidence to run shifts independently.
Proven ability to hit KPI targets, such as pick times and accuracy, within a fast-paced environment (e.g., Retail, FMCG, or Warehouse).
Strong hands-on mentality with a detail-oriented approach to inventory management and site organisation.
Excellent communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English to collaborate with stakeholders and riders.
A track record of reliability, showcasing consistent attendance, punctuality, and the ability to foster a positive working culture.
Why Join Us?
