- Work at the heart of a semi-automated container terminal supporting 24/7 operational excellence
- Gain hands-on exposure to advanced automation, control systems, and integrated operations environments
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Asset Management, and IT teams in a high-availability setting
- Develop technical depth and operational experience through structured shift-based responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time automation and control system support during rotational shifts from the Integrated Operations Center
- Monitor system alarms, interfaces, and automated process flows for quay cranes, automated stacking cranes, and shuttle carriers
- Perform Level 1 troubleshooting of automation, control, and software-related issues, escalating to Level 2 or Level 3 support when required
- Detect, diagnose, and support resolution of control system anomalies, software faults, and field-related issues to restore system availability
- Support the terminal Incident Response Process, contributing to rapid recovery and minimizing operational impact
- Coordinate effectively with Operations, Asset Management, and IT stakeholders during incidents and normal shift operations
- Conduct structured shift handovers and maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation on incidents, interventions, and system performance
What We Are Looking For:Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a thoughtful improvement mindset—curious about how work gets done and motivated to make meaningful, sustainable improvements over time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting industrial automation or control systems in an operational or engineering environment
- Hands-on experience with PLC and SCADA systems such as Siemens S7, B&R, WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk, or Automation Studio
- Solid understanding of drives, motion systems, and industrial communication protocols including Profinet, Profibus, CAN-Bus, TCP/IP, ASi, and Drive-Cliq
- Fluency in English with the ability to communicate clearly and structure information effectively in high-pressure operational situations
In this role, you will be a key contributor to TM2’s high-performing Operations team, supporting the availability, reliability, and stability of critical automation assets in a semi-automated terminal environment. You are comfortable working in a shift-based operating model and understand the importance of rapid response, structured escalation, and clear communication in maintaining safe and efficient terminal operations.You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to assess complex system behavior, identify root causes, and support effective resolution under time pressure. Your situational awareness allows you to balance technical troubleshooting with operational priorities, ensuring alignment across multiple stakeholders during live operations.You work collaboratively and value disciplined coordination, particularly when interfacing with Operations, Asset Management, and IT teams.
