We´re seeking someone to join as a Junior Legal Counsel to join our legal team at TUI Musement. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to contribute to a multinational company operating in the tourism sector.

You´ll be responsible for the provision of legal support and guidance on a wide range of matters to the international businesses of TUI Musement, which operates in more than 40 jurisdictions worldwide and operates a digital platform focused on excursions, transfers and activities.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts including vendor agreements, service agreements, partnership agreements, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on a broad spectrum of issues related to the tourism industry
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations applicable to the tourism sector. Stay abreast of regulatory developments and changes in the tourism industry, assessing their potential impact on the company’s operations and advising stakeholders accordingly
  • Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate such risks, particularly in relation to business operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives
  • Assist in managing legal disputes and litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel and representing the company in negotiations and settlements when necessary
  • Support corporate governance initiatives, including maintaining corporate records, preparing board materials, and assisting with corporate filings and compliance requirements
  • Provide legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal issues relevant to their roles, promoting a culture of legal compliance and awareness within the organisation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, marketing, and human resources, to provide legal support and advice on various business initiatives and projects

ABOUT YOU

  • A relevant University Degree in Law is required for the role
  • Experience in practicing law, preferably with exposure to corporate or commercial law, working as a Lawyer in a multinational company environment
  • A background in the travel & leisure sector an advantage
  • Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish. Additional languages advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and high quality written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research tools; experience with contract management software is a plus
