When Volt launched in 2019, we recognised how open banking has the power to transform how businesses, wherever they happen to be, receive payments from their customers.
So, we set about building an open payments gateway that enables merchants across the globe to receive direct, account-to-account payments – in real time.
Now, on the back of a record-breaking $23.5 million Series A funding round, we’re building an all-star team to achieve our goal of ‘real-time payments everywhere’.
The role
As Strategy Associate at Volt, you will play a central role in synergising the activities of the Commercial and Strategy teams. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a driven, high performing team, a distinctive brand and an industry leading tech stack.
By immersing yourself in our products’ and markets, you’ll have a deep understanding of what makes us best-in-class – and how this can be articulated to our customers and prospects. You will work closely with the VP Strategy to define Volt’s Commercial strategy, inclusive of deliverables, campaigns and wider communications.
Responsibilities:
- Build Volt’s value proposition for eCommerce, Financial Services & Travel and their key sub-verticals
- Identify and source required supporting evidence e.g. conducting and commissioning research
- Embedding that value proposition across Volt, including creating sales collateral and providing content to marketing
- Lead RFPs for key strategic deals
- Contribute to the sales strategy, identifying target sub-verticals and go to market
- Conduct competitor research
- Support VP Strategy with business strategy
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in a strategy consultancy role or investment banking
- Experience understanding business models
- Experience working cross functionally and with senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including in powerpoint
- Strong analytical skills
