Job Description

Role Purpose:

To support growth areas in VOIS it requires a highly capable and experienced Scrum Master. This role will be responsible for facilitating an end-to-end agile culture within the delivery in (System Engineering & Automation. You will manage, execute agile process & take full accountability for bringing agility to your project delivery. You will work very closely with technical delivery leads/product owners, solution architects, integration engineers, system integrators and software developers and ensure the deliveries happen in time, on budget & effectively follows the agile best practices & principles.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:


• Take E2E ownership and accountability of establishing agile values, methods, principles & practices for the delivery of the project he/she handles.
• Facilitate discussions and conflict resolution, and enable the exploration of alternatives or different approaches & ensure no impact on the delivery of projects.
• Coach and mentor their team members on agile standards and best practices; ensure consistent best practices are applied across the work streams.
• Align with PO/ business representative on the agreed feature list and related release date.
• Make sure with the PO that all stories are added on Jira with their details and assigned per each feature.
• Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings.
• Manage the Sprint planning meeting, ensure proper sizing and estimate per story from all team members. .
• Make sure sprint planning commitments based on team capacity.
• Handle Daily scrum with the agile team to align and ensure that the team is on track with the build plan and sprint goal.
• Set Sprint review meeting and demos with the business representative to confirm on the delivered scope.
• Plan for retrospective meeting (Internal / External). Enhance process while moving forward with the development team and ensure that the corrective actions taken.
• Proactively identifies impediments and appropriately resolves using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
• On spot risk raising for management, asking for support if any.
• Manage stakeholders and vendor interfaces as required for technical delivery and report on project progress & activities.
• Manage & Own regular project’s status meeting/ mails/calls with relevant stakeholders, aligning them with the deliverables per sprint / release.
• Ensure the correct setup & usage of CDI tools for projects & ensure project documentations are up to date for every sprint.
• Support Handover, on boarding and KT sessions for all team members with a proper planning.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Understanding agile methodologies
• Strong interest & skills in Data analytics.
• Excellent communication, presentation & reporting skills
• Proven track of managing complex software projects with agile methodology in scrum master role.

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience in managing projects in agile environments.
• Technical background and ability to understand architecture & technical issues to drive effective agile delivery.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and team building skills; articulate and able to steer a meeting with presence.
• • Ability to maintain calm attitude during difficult situations and handle pressuring situations.
• Creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.
• Experience in maintaining and reporting against relevant metrics (i.e. burn down and velocity, risks, timelines, etc.). in timely manner.
• Strong team player with an ability to identify and remove impediments or conflicts that interfere with the ability of the team to deliver the sprint & project goals.
• Self-starter & self-motivated with a drive to identify opportunities for improvement across the agile delivery processes.
• Highly independent, takes ownership, does not need to be told what to do and seeks feedback and execute actions.
