About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Python & GCP Cloud Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and infrastructure. This role involves working on scalable solutions using Google Cloud Platform services, implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant systems.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, deploy, and maintain Python-based applications and services on GCP.
  • Build and manage GCP infrastructure leveraging services such as Cloud Functions, App Engine, and Cloud Run.
  • Implement automation and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Google Cloud Build.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to process large datasets using BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Write unit tests and maintain comprehensive documentation for code quality.
  • Troubleshoot and debug cloud-based applications in production environments.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technology stack decisions.

Who you are

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and cloud-native development.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git-based repositories).
  • Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and data processing frameworks.
  • Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe).
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Must have 9–12 years of relevant work experience in Python development and solution design on GCP.
