About this Role

We are seeking a Java Technical Lead to join our Middleware Development Team. This role is ideal for an experienced individual with over 9 years of hands-on development and leadership experience, who is passionate about software design, quality, and innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects from planning to production delivery, ensuring technical excellence and team collaboration throughout.

What you will do

• Lead software projects technically from planning to delivery.
• Design software applications aligned with best practices and customer needs.
• Provide coaching, technical guidance, and support to team members.
• Decide on technologies and tools that best fit project requirements.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards.
• Report progress, challenges, risks, and recommendations clearly.
• Estimate technical efforts from early phases to project completion.
• Foster teamwork and assign tasks based on team members’ capabilities.
• Adapt to changes in timelines, requirements, and quality standards.
• Support production systems and ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs.
• Encourage innovation and assess new ideas constructively.

Who you are

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Have 9+ years of relevant work experience.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge in:
  • Object-Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, SOLID principles
  • Microservices, SOA, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security
  • Databases: Relational, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis
  • Big Data tools: Kafka, Elastic Search
  • DevOps tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
  • Programming concepts: Reactive, Functional, Streaming, Cryptography
  • Testing: Unit, Integration, BDD, TDD
  • REST APIs, SOAP Web Services
  • Git, Maven, Gradle, Linux, Shell scripting
• Exhibit excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Work effectively under pressure with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Inspire and energise others, fostering a collaborative team environment.
