What you’ll do

Vodafone is looking for an experienced Container Platforms Architect to develop and manage our application modernization solutions. This role requires the technical knowledge and leadership skills needed to design and implement secure, scalable and high-performance infrastructures. By joining the Containers team, you will collaborate with senior engineers to drive our microservices platforms strategies, manage projects and provide technical guidance.

• Infrastructure Operations SPOC for projects: Responsible for analyzing, designing and implementing Container infrastructure solutions for projects and business needs in accordance with VFTR standards and procedures. Also ensures creation and maintenance of NFRs.

• Design & Implement Processes: Responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure processes such as service requests and capacity management for container platforms and environmental components.

• Manage technical terms&conditions of IO contracts: Ensure that technical terms and conditions of container platform management, maintenance and professional services contracts are established and kept up to date. If projects involve contractors, audit their quality of service

• Infrastructure Efficiency: Monitor resource utilization rates, look for potential bottlenecks, efficiency and savings potential. identify and implement improvement points

• Manage Technical Strategies: Develop long-term technical design, architecture and implementation of Vodafone services. Play a role in its implementation by creating long-term roadmaps for container platforms and peripherals

• Planning & Implementation capability: Support knowledge management by creating, maintaining, and improving documentation such as solution design documents (HLD, LLD), knowledge articles, Wikis, and other artifacts. Lifecycle management of all Container platforms. Evaluation of tools and applications to manage/monitor Container infrastructure

Who you are

• Provide expert technical guidance on Cloud Transformation and Migration as a SPoC.

• Provide technical analysis and technical architecture for comprehensive intelligent solutions on container technologies

• Act as a ‘Trusted Advisor’ for our customers, helping them incorporate container technologies into their strategies and recommending paths and architectures for application modernization.

• Create implementation plans and conduct architectural design sessions aligned to our container platform business goals.

• Guide customers on container technologies across complex hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration and management across platforms. Support a range of customer readiness challenges including security, performance, scalability and intellectual property considerations.

• Engage with customers and collaborate with partners to contribute to strategies to create new opportunities, resolve technical barriers and accelerate deal closure.

• Be an advocate for Container Technologies, inspiring customers and partner activities.

• Provide recommendations for container platform peripherals in projects or existing environments to ensure complete installations

• Determine service content and scope for container platforms and peripherals, prepare operational procedures and support the updating of our service catalog.

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Demonstrated ability to successfully work across teams.

• Should be a good team player and should be able to perform well under stress
