About this Role

We are seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to join our dynamic team and enhance the CMDB experience for our customers. This role involves integrating new tools, automating repetitive tasks, and uncovering meaningful connections between Data Centre infrastructure and business operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving data accuracy, streamlining processes, and driving value across the organisation.

What you will do

• Analyse CMDB data to identify gaps, errors, and inconsistencies.
• Monitor infrastructure discovery tools and ensure accurate data flow into the CMDB.
• Build and maintain logical and physical service configurations for Data Centre infrastructure.
• Drive the evolution of Configuration Management processes and tools.
• Ensure integration with build and change management processes for data completeness.
• Lead and document regular stakeholder review meetings.
• Identify automation opportunities to enhance discovery capabilities and data quality.

Who you are

• Experienced in infrastructure configuration management and Data Centre IT standards.
• Proficient in ITIL practices and service management methodologies.
• Skilled in using infrastructure scanning tools such as BMC Discovery.
• Knowledgeable in Data Centre infrastructure, network architecture, NoSQL databases, and public cloud environments.
• Capable of stakeholder engagement and effective communication.
• Familiar with Linux and VMware basics.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis) and/or Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard creation).
