Your day to day:

As part of the European Vodafone Network Operation (VNO) organization, included in the Cloud&OSS department, the Infra&OS-DBA administration team is responsible for the maintenance of the infrastructure and the administration of Oracle DB in the network operations environment in Vodafone Germany

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business:

  • Administration, Operation and Optimization of Oracle Databases
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues to contribute to continuous improvements of delivered services
  • Reduce database downtime and control parameters to ensure quick query responses.
  • Ensure SLAs and operational KPIs are fulfilled, collaborating with internal and external support departments as needed when large events occur.
  • Ensuring Database Security. Implement and monitor security measures such as Oracle TDE and Oracle Database Vault to comply with corporate security policies.Operational Management of Exadata Systems

With these skills you are a great candidate:

  • Working experience on Administration of Oracle Databases and Exadata
  • Proficiency in SQL and SQL server tools
  • Advanced understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring requirements
  • Good knowledge of planning and executing release updates, patches, and firmware upgrades for Oracle Engineered Systems and virtualized server platforms.Understanding of implementing cybersecurity measures to protect DBs.Familiarity with Oracle Exadata Database Machine for high performance workloads
  • English language (spoken and written), German language ( is a plus)

  • Administration of Oracle Databases
  • Oracle Exadata Database Machine Operations
  • English language (spoken and written), German language (is a plus)
