Job Description

The Community Programmes Manager is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of Virgin Media O2’s ESG strategy ‘Our Better Connections Plan’ with a specific focus on social impact and social value projects. This includes working with charity partners to support our digital inclusion and digital skills agenda, delivering positive impact for customers, communities and shareholders.

You will be managing a programme of research, insight and evaluation activities to ensure that our programmes deliver measurable social impacts for our business and society, as well as robust storytelling and communications activity.

Other areas of responsibility will include employee engagement in the form of supporting the delivery of our industry-leading volunteering programme Take Five, and indirectly running our Youth Advisory Council to support with engaging content, talks, and workshops for our people through our sustainability network, the Better Connections Network.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Demonstrable experience of Community based programme design and delivery.
  • Experience of working across disciplines and with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to influence and drive decisions.
  • Proven ability to measure, report on and communicate the impact of a social impact programme

  • An understanding of the requirements of the Social Value Act and the ability to apply a sustainability lens to customer products & services.
  • A passion for sustainability and the role it can play in adding new value for our business .
