What you'll be doing…
The Manager, Supply Chain Risk will be responsible for developing techniques to assess, visualize and communicate risks that impact Verizon’s global supply chain. This will include utilizing Verizon’s internal systems as well as external systems to develop complete understandings of critical supply chains, including Tier 1 and sub-tier supplier information. Using risk assessment best practices, the Manager, Supply Chain Risk will discover supply chain risks and will propose and operationalize mitigation strategies (working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders). In addition, the Manager, Supply Chain Risk will play a key role in expanding the Supply Chain Resilience Management (SCRM) program and will work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with published procedures.
What we're looking for…
Develop innovative methods to collect information of importance in assessing risks to Verizon’s global supply chain.
Maintain and create databases to be used for assessing and visualizing risks and for record-keeping.
Maintain, improve, and create systems that illuminate Verizon’s supply chains. These systems will provide datasets of interest, which (among other uses) can be used to create innovative visualizations that clearly communicate Verizon’s complex global supply chain and the various risks and threat surfaces which Verizon needs to be aware of and to protect.
Drawing from industry best practices, develop and implement methods to assess and communicate supply chain risks.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to enable Verizon to achieve various levels of risk, based on desired risk tolerance levels.
Participate in further improvements of Verizon’s SCRM program and work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with published procedures.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Skilled in working with very large databases (SQL, Teradata, Hadoop, …)
Ability to utilize Alteryx with a high level of proficiency.
Project Management skills for successful project delivery, with hands on experience with project management/collaboration tools.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to work across functional teams.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong critical thinking combined with business intuition and intellectual curiosity.
Ability to synthesize, create and communicate clear analytical studies.
Experience in creating impactful data graphs/visualizations in Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik, or other programs/platforms. Experience in Risk Assessment/Audit and in Security Planning/Execution is a plus
Experience with Python, R, SAS, JMP or other advanced statistical software is a plus
