What you’ll be doing...

In this role as a Principal Engineer -Software Development, you will be responsible for the designing, developing and overseeing the end to end execution of Payroll processes and statutory compliances . Supporting Payroll, Time Reporting, Human Resources and other business channels that keep the company running. A Techno/Functional role, eexpected to work closely with application managers, software engineers, business units, operations, security teams and vendors to manage the delivery of new applications, along with legacy application enhancements and innovative solutions for the Corporate Systems Group portfolio. This position is focused on delivery of innovative solutions and daily support that meet the long term needs of the portfolio with a focus on U.S Domestic Payroll. This position is responsible for partnering with the business and IT Partners to support Payroll business processes, while leveraging PeopleSoft and Infor along with emerging and proven technologies. This position is responsible for planning, architecting, overseeing, testing and documenting all aspects of assigned projects.

What we’re looking for...

Senior IT professional with 15+ years’ experience with software delivery and maintenance of PeopleSoft HCM application. The candidate should demonstrate experience in leading teams into SCRUM / Agile methodology. Responsible for tactical leadership and expertise throughout the software development lifecycle including managing the delivery of HR and Payroll application initiatives. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are a must. Demonstrates accountability, thought-leadership, initiative, independence and willingness to learn. Demonstrated ability to lead and work with teams across multiple locations and time zones. And extensive experience in delivering large-scale projects.

· Collaboration: With Engineers, Product Managers, Designers and Business Units to architect software solutions that meet the needs of the business.

· Leadership: Perform as a Principal Architect in a lead role working closely with business units and application owners to implement and execute product plans.

· Support: Provide direction and support to team members.

· Review deliverables and provide constructive feedback.

· Assist in resolution of impediments to team members.

· Vendor Management: Work closely with vendors and consultants on design, development and testing tasks.

· Reporting: Provide regular, proactive reporting on status and risk items.

Where you'll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

You'll need to have:

· Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of work experience.

· Six or more years of PeopleSoft development in the HCM arena with the following skills: People Tools, SQR, SQL, JAVA, Selenium, Splunk, Java Script, CSS, HTML, ESPx & COBOL.

· Knowledge of SDLC and Agile Development, executing a full software development life cycle (SDLC) – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.

· Expert level knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM suite Release 9.2

· PeopleSoft Payroll experience in HCM Payroll configurations and integrations, expertise in functional and payroll operational knowledgespecific to US Payroll

· Hands-on experience on PeopleCode, Application Designer, SQL, SQR, Application Engine, PeopleSoft Query, Data Mover, Application Packages, Component Interface and Integration Broker

· Debug Delivered & Custom PeopleSoft functionality and processes

· Experience applying PeopleSoft tax updates, maintenance packs (PUM), bundles, and fixes to multiple environments Manages, and coordinates all aspects of assigned SR requirements

· Ability to influence stakeholders and partners across all levels; deliver as per project milestones.

· Excellent functional knowledge of US payroll processes to assist the business operations team with troubleshooting issues around tax, garnishment and benefits processing.

· Experience with key payroll integrations like Time Reporting, Benefit Vendors, GL Systems, Tax Vendors, Absence Management, and HR Systems (like Workday).

· Ability to work well under time constraints and Flexible to work in shifts and weekends

· Possess techno-functional knowledge on the Payroll and associated modules and help in documenting and analyzing requirements

· Provide technical input during business requirement gathering and fit-gap sessions

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

· Relevant certifications.

· Experience integrating with 3rd party payroll providers for International Payroll, Time & Labor.
