What you’ll be doing...

Value segment is about multi brands prepaid segment handles projects related Prepaid sales and service experience with the order management in Verizon Consumer Group. In the role of the Principal Engineer, you will steer development teams with regards to architecture, system design and deployment across multiple products within the Value organization. You will be working with the software architects to design components of respective programs, ensuring that they are highly performant, fault tolerant, cloud native, and that they interface well with other parts of the ecosystem. We are seeking a Principal Engineer with excellent J2EE programming skills and deep technical knowledge of Spring Reactive, Spring Boot, Reactjs, Nextjs, SQL, Knowledge of AWS and microservices architecture concepts.

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to code and develop features and be prepared to work in a time-based environment.

  • Must possess and demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, highly motivated with good communication skills.

  • Diagnose production issues and work to fix issues in a timely manner.

  • Work closely with other developers to achieve the project deliverable.

  • Create design and interface documents for the business features.

  • Research and investigate new technologies applicable to development needs of the project.

  • Identify ways to enhance product quality, product functionality and user experience

What we are looking for…

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or eight or more years of work experience.

  • Experience in Java and J2EE back end related technologies.

  • Strong Knowledge in Prepaid Domains

  • Strong Knowledge in Spring Boot, Sprint Reactive Microservices Programming.

  • Experience in advanced SQL for databases like Oracle, Cassandra.

  • Experience in designing OSS/BSS applications.

  • Build and optimise APIs(Restful, GraphQL) and event-driven architectures

  • Experience in Order Management Systems (OMS)- Order intake and validation, Order orchestration, API Integration, Order Lifecycle Management, Resource allocation, Order tracking and status updates, Provisioning and fulfillment, Order modification and cancellation

  • Experience in Next.js, React.js, APIGEE

  • Experience with Redux, React Native, JavaScript (ES5, ES6), Object Oriented JavaScript, Webpack, Rollup, Ajax, SCSS, Styled Component, HTML5, and/or CSS3.

  • Knowledge of AWS and microservices architecture concepts.

  • System Design and Problem Solving - Ability to solve complex business problems and demonstrate ability to debug Production issues along with ability to architect systems.

  • Experience on security scans like Fortify, BlackDuck, 42Crunch etc.

  • Hands-on experience with CMS, e-commerce platforms, and digital experience tools.

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and projects.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience in handling talent transformations for the team members.

  • Experience in translating customer experience issues into actionable objectives to the team and executing plans to resolve them.

  • Knowledge of operationalizing processes, quality control checks.

  • Knowledge of deriving metrics from various business processes.

  • Experience in GenAI.

  • Experience with AEM & Adobe Analytics

  • Delivery experience with Agile development life cycle.
