Serving as both preparer and reviewer role for various periodic filings with the SEC (primarily Forms 10-K and 10-Q), including statements, footnotes, Management’s Discussion and Analysis and XBRL tagging.
Preparing and reviewing draft reports, supporting work papers and the U.S. GAAP checklist to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC rules and regulations. This requires a detailed understanding of U.S. GAAP and the ability to evaluate whether specific accounting and disclosure requirements apply to the company.
Remaining informed of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting developments and collaborating with accounting policy in order to assess the impact to the company.
Researching technical accounting issues and evaluating the U.S. GAAP disclosure requirements related to new events, transactions and business activities.
Assisting in the transition efforts for new accounting and disclosure standards.
Working autonomously to develop solutions to complex accounting / disclosure issues and make recommendations to management.
Working independently to address and resolve questions raised by the external auditors.
Collaborating with Accounting, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations and the business units to ensure accurate reporting of results and messaging to external stakeholders.
Assisting with the preparation of audit committee materials.
Managing ad hoc projects and requests for information.
What we’re looking for...
You’re diligent, organized, and on top of the details—your projects run like clockwork. You can look at the big picture and see how the pieces fit together. You can lead aspects of larger initiatives collaboratively. Working independently is as comfortable for you as being part of a team. And you know accounting and reporting like the back of your hand.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Your CPA license.
Even better if you have:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
Four or more years of public accounting or Big 4 experience.
Demonstrated strong technical financial skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting, GAAP, PCAOB standards and SEC regulations.
Demonstrated strong analytical, verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Established project management experience and ability to work with numerous diverse groups throughout a very large organization.
Demonstrated track record of attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills.
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, SEC requirements and tax reporting.
Ability to meet strict deadlines in compressed time periods.
Knowledge of the complexities of a large global company and ability to operate within a matrix environment.
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
