Our Point of Sale (POS) suite of applications enables us to serve our customers through different touchpoints. You’ll be part of the POS IT team, responsible for architecting, designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining eCommerce application and transactions. In addition, you’ll join the core team that’s developing and promoting DevOps and cloud adoption across various sales and web service applications. We’re pushing ourselves to be nimbler and more efficient as we redefine the Digital landscape and you’ll play a meaningful role.

What you’ll be doing...

Your would be responsible to develop and enhance the POS suite of application, as well as coordinate with the teams responsible for other layers/integration.

  • Accumulating business requirements, system features and functionality. Understanding the requirement and design experiences and convert all the non-functional requirements to functional requirement.

  • Performing system analysis to create a robust design and solutions which meets the enterprise standards.

  • Providing architectural oversight for systems, services and UI.

  • Developing highly available applications.

  • Partnering with Product Owners for value-based prioritization of user stories and story refinement. Additionally ensure user stories are right sized as well.

  • Ensuring application development sprint cycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet release timelines.
  • Building reusable code and libraries for future use in front end and back end technologies.

  • Converting High Level design to Low level design without much supervision.

  • Leading the development team and ensure timely delivery of the products.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Proven experience in leading Software projects/development teams.

  • Software development experience in a diverse set of areas including scalable web application development, messaging queues, development of reusable components.

  • Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Reactive, SQL , No SQL DBs, Java script, React JS application development including experience leading a technical team in all the above listed technologies.

  • Experience in a DevOps software development environment.

  • Experience migrating web applications to Cloud (AWS, Oracle Cloud or Cloud Foundry etc.).

  • Knowledge and experience of Docker/Container technologies.

  • Proficient in understanding, working and adopting Agile methodologies.


Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in computer science or computer engineering.

  • Master’s degree.

  • Experience triaging/handling high pressure customer end user/requests.

  • Experience with performance tuning, scalability and availability.

  • Evaluate and choose appropriate technologies, design patterns, and algorithms for the development of robust and scalable software solutions.

  • Mentor team members, foster their technical growth, and identify areas for skill enhancement.

  • Innovation mindset.

  • Ability to identify and understand relationships / interactions between systems at multiple levels.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills to assimilate data from varied sources, apply deductive reasoning and scientific method, make inferences, draw testable conclusions, and resolve problems.
