What you’ll be doing...

We’re in search of a dynamic Marketing and Communications Leader who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. As an Associate Director, Channel Marketing & Communications, you’ll lead a team dedicated to empowering our frontline sales teams with the information they need to exceed their sales goals. The ideal candidate is an inspirational leader with a passion for mentoring and motivating their team. You are innovative, adaptable and always seeking fresh approaches to engage and enable our sales teams to excel. In this role, you’ll need strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset. You’ll play a critical role in developing and evolving our national content strategy, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and incorporating the latest tools, including generative AI, to enhance communication effectiveness. Your keen business acumen will enable you to turn complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand communications.

  • Leading a team of Sr. Managers who support frontline sales leaders and oversee the execution of short/long-term channel communication and educational reinforcement strategies. This includes scoping, analyzing, preparing, and presenting strategies that ensure the right message reaches Verizon’s frontline sales teams at the right time.

  • Creating and implementing innovative internal channel marketing communication campaigns that yield measurable business results, as evidenced by sales leadership feedback and sales performance.

  • Collaborating with Creative and Local teams to develop compelling assets that effectively promote and deliver on go-to-market campaigns across all markets.

  • Utilizing a data-driven and structured approach to identify and address business challenges through impactful communications strategies.

  • Partnering closely with Business Unit marketing, communications, and executive leadership teams to gain a deep understanding of critical business priorities and develop tailored communications/campaigns that support these priorities across all markets.

  • Creating and disseminating internal communications throughout the Consumer Sales organization using designated platforms such as workvivo, smartboard, email, and direct-to-you (D2Y), among others.

  • Developing and delivering executive-level presentations that effectively communicate key messages and initiatives.

  • Identifying opportunities in areas for improvement or positive change that will ensure the best experience is provided.

In this role, you'll have a defined work location that includes remote work and assigned office days (VCG requires three in office days).

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience are required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work, military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in communications, leading communications strategy, or internal marketing.

  • Experience in leading people.

  • Experience in visual communication techniques and applications.

  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A Master's degree.

  • Experience working creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

  • Proven ability to foster and manage strategic partnerships.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience in retail marketing strategy.

  • Experience in front-line sales.

  • Experience working with executives and the ability to deliver and support executive requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills,

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail,

  • Experience with Google G Suite.
