As a Tactical Buyer your focus will lie on the sourcing of materials, goods and services for our Wind Business Area and all Indirect materials, goods and services for the entire Vattenfall Group.
You are working closely together with both the procurement colleagues in your team and your business stakeholders. purchase by approaching the market for competitive quotes and select the offer with the best total-value proposition. The purchase needs will cover both project-based demand as well as demands from running operations and production sites. In this role your main stakeholders are are Business requisitioners within our Business Area Wind, as well as those within the various Staff Functions, such as Facility Management, SF Corporate Security, People and Culture, and IT.
What will you do as Tactical Buyer:
- You are responsible for buying all materials, goods and services through a competitive process, ensuring Vattenfall receives the best value for money.
- You spar with the requestor within the business units about their direct-, and indirect material and services requirements and together you develop the necessary tender documentation.
- You investigate the relevant markets for potential suppliers, ensuring there is a selection of potential sources to fulfill the demands of the businesses.
- You act as point of contact for relevant requestors in Business Area’s as well as Group Staff Functions. You will work closely with all the requestors as a trusted partner to fulfill their wider sourcing needs; understanding and anticipating their requirements and converting these to procurement goals and activities; lead and participate in (sourcing) projects where relevant.
- You will ensure compliance throughout the entire process and seek for continues improvements.
Your key activities are:
- You independently carry out RFQ (Requests For Quotation) and RFP (Request For Proposal) procedures.
- You conduct market research, hold negotiations and run tenders.
- You evaluate quotations, select and negotiate the conditions.
- With the support of our Legal department you draw up and ensure contracts are signed and in accordance with Vattenfall regulations.
- You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues and support each other not only in peak times.
- You are empowered to build trust and empowerment through strong commitment and stakeholder engagement.
- You will work on across teams initiatives to help grow the indirect team

The team is located at the office in Amsterdam.
Qualifications
Who are you?
Our ideal candidates have already proven themselves in a procurement position as a tactical buyer, with at least two years of experience. For this role, we want you to bring:
- Completion of MBO-4 with a Nevi education or similar, preferably in a Technical or business administration area or similar;
- Team player and eager to learn;
- Personal traits: energetic, empathic, responsive, committed to tasks, professional communication skills, good self-presentation, result driven with very efficient time management skills and prioritization of task;
- Good understanding of people and culture in working across multiple business functions;
- Interest in technology, innovation, sustainability and digitalization;
- Strong English & German language capabilities, spoken and written;
- Strong SAP Knowledge (MM module) or willingness to learn.
Additional Information
Our offer
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The base salary for this position ranges from € 3.500,- to €4.800,- per month based on 38h. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:
- End of year bonus of 4.5% of your annual salary;
- Profit sharing of up to 3.5% of your annual salary based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands;
- NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way;
- 25 vacation days, 2.5 vitality days, and for a 38-hour contract and 40 hour workweek: 13 ADV (reduction of working hours) days;
- Choice budget, which allows you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy a e-bicycle, or simply receive it as addition pay;
- Education budget, because we believe it is important that you can continue to develop yourself.
