Do you want to contribute to the energy transition and a sustainable world? And does developing data-driven business solutions give you energy? Then join our Data & Analytics team as a Senior Analytics Engineer!

You will be a part of the Vattenfall BtC (Business to Consumer) Data & Analytics department, which develops data driven solutions for our customers and customer processes. The department is spread out in three business domain teams; where data experts and business collaborate closely to realize valuable data solutions. Each Data & Analytics domain team consists of an Analytics Translator, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists, and is supported by Data- & Machine Learning Engineers from IT. Furthermore, we foster standardized ways of working and sharing best practices in the Data Foundation and Data Science authority.

As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you know how to translate the wishes of our business stakeholders into the right insights from data. You are an active member of the Data Foundation authority; constantly looking for ways to take our data products to a higher level. In this position, you will have the chance to work with innovative technologies and make an impact that matters!

Your key activities are:

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable insights;
  • Develop data sets and dashboards that empower users to answer their questions;
  • Leverage data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth;
  • Improve the data model of our Snowflake data platform to optimize time to market for new data initiatives;
  • Explain how to interpretate and use data sets and dashboards in a straightforward way to various stakeholders;
  • Guide junior colleagues to deliver the best data products;
  • Convey enthusiasm about data to inspire and engage the organization;
  • Stay up to date with innovative technologies in the field of data analytics and leverage them to drive impact.

Qualifications

Your profile

As a Senior Analytics Engineer you are a strong communicator and enthusiastic colleague with a passion for data. You feel comfortable in a broad stakeholder field. You are analytical, results-orientated and like to work within an agile team. Also you are proactively looking for new solutions and standards to work with. Next to this you bring:

  • Minimal 5 years of experience in Data/Analytics Engineering;
  • A completed HBO/WO education with a strong data or technical component;
  • Strong experience with SQL and data warehousing solutions;
  • Experience with data modelling techniques;
  • Experience in building data pipelines ;
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure and Snowflake);
  • Experience in working with data visualization tools;
  • Strong communicator to various stakeholders throughout the organization;
  • Experience with DevOps practices (CICD, code reviews, git, etc.).

Additional Information

Our offer
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The salary for this position ranges from €5200 to €6000 per month based on 38h. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:

  • 8% holiday allowance;
  • End of year bonus of 4.5% of your annual salary;
  • A profit sharing of up to 3.5% of your annual salary based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands;
  • NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way;
  • 20 vacation days, 3.5 vitality days, and for a 40-hour contract: 13 ADV (reduction of working hours) days;
  • Choice budget, which allows you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy a e-bicycle, or simply receive it as addition pay.
  • Education budget, because we believe it is important that you can continue to develop yourself;
  • At Vattenfall, there is a close team culture while also providing ample room for individual initiative.

At our company, hybrid working is the norm, meaning you will work at the office at least 50% of the time.
