Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.

Job Description

We are looking for a Manager of Warehouse Management UK & NL within Supply Chain & Maintenance Systems Department, in Integrated Operations for our Business Unit Offshore Wind, a part of the Vattenfall Organization.

The Manager of Warehouse Management UK & NL is responsible for ensuring control of warehouse related activities for all offshore sites under Generation, covering UK and Netherlands.

You will work with the Manager of Warehouse Management and within Supply Chain & Maintenance Systems to continuously develop, update and implement strategies and tactical activities that support the business objectives and operational efficiencies.

All in all, the position ensures developing, planning, implementing and following up holistic strategies and activities relevant to warehouse management across all sites under scope, in alignment with the Manager of Warehouse Management.

Key responsibilities

Overall accountable for warehouse management and runs the overall warehouse activities for all offshore scopes in the teams in UK and NL.

He/she is responsible for the planning, implementing and following up strategies and activities relevant to warehouse management in both regions, this includes:

  • Prioritize and ensure safe set-up and processes across all warehouses within scope, while being aligned on overall business objectives.
  • Plan, implement, and follow-up strategies and activities related to warehouse management;
  • Ensure standardised and centralised warehouse setup for ongoing and future sites;
  • Ensure timely shipping of parts, consumables, tools and main components;
  • Ensure efficient processes between warehouses and key stakeholders;
  • Ensure resource optimisation and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

You have an excellent analytical and organizational skills, also you have attention to detail and are able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

You have the courage to say STOP! in non-compliance situations while always looking for opportunities to solve the problem.

A flexible attitude with regards to tasks, hours and travelling as/when necessary.

You are commercially and operationally minded.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, diplomacy and a positive attitude are some of the key qualities that will make you successful in the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master's degree in a relevant field (is desirable);
  • At least 4 years of experience from working a similar position in the energy sector or a technical industry. Offshore/onshore wind knowledge from a development, project or O&M role is desirable;
  • A proven track record within relevant supply chain management and system solutions is necessary;
  • IT-Systems awareness SAP PM/MM, SAP is necessary;
  • Extensive experience in warehouse and operation and maintenance are necessary
  • Ability to lead international teams, driving a performance culture and development of key skills and knowledge is considered as an advantage;
  • Persuasive communication skills, comfortable at presenting, building relationships and influencing others, while working effectively across diverse cultures and geographical locations; and
  • Health and safety as the highest priority
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
