Job Description

About us

We’ve grown at an incredibly fast pace since our launch in 2017. We’re the trusted student-recruitment partner to 600 higher ed institutions in 35 countries worldwide. Including the University of Cambridge, Kings College London, Boston University, University of Southern California, NYU Global Services, HEC Paris, and Erasmus.

We’ve raised over $33M from top-tier investors, and we’re on course to achieve our mission of empowering 10 million students to make the right choices in their higher ed journey.

Here’s where you come in

We’re now ready to take an even bigger leap. We’re transforming our product offering changing the way both prospective and current students make their life-determining decisions. This means that we need people like you to help us supercharge our growth and shape our future.

As Sales Development Representative or University Partnerships Executive as we call them, you will help drive Unibuddy’s future growth by building relationships with prospective universities and helping to turn them into happy and successful users of Unibuddy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the very start of the sales process, acting as the first point of contact for many institutions.
  • You will nurture and qualify inbound leads, source new qualified leads to deliver to the sales team, and re-invigorate leads that have grown cold.
  • You will be responsible for developing opportunities across the US working with the team to identify key target markets, sectors, and organizations.
  • Researching target markets to identify the right organizations for us to approach.
  • Developing and executing outbound phone and email sales campaigns to reach our target audience.
  • Managing the lead flow process before and after events that we attend and run.
  • Developing our outreach programs with new innovations to further develop our sales success.

This might be for you if

  • You are passionate about our mission.
  • You are an individual who is curious, hard-working, coachable, driven, with a positive attitude towards challenges and is not afraid of failure.
  • You may have proven yourself in a previous sales role, or a customer-facing position or you're super keen to kick-start a sales career.
  • You feel at home in a high-growth environment where we don’t know all the answers but are willing to learn and improve what we do with plenty of opportunities to expand your skills.
  • You have a flexible and adaptable approach to work, and will be open to assisting with projects across a range of teams.

We know that typically females and underrepresented groups only apply to jobs if they see themselves ticking every box. We believe we’re more than boxes to tick. If you don't meet all the requirements but think you might still be right for the role or others, please apply anyway. We're always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.

What’s on offer

  • Base salary of $60,000 plus uncapped commission. OTE of $75,000-$80,000.
  • Highly flexible work culture. Hybrid 1-2 days per week in NYC.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus national holidays and 4 additional days for company-wide end-of-year closure.
  • Family-friendly policy. Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
  • Latest MacBook or PC. A monitor for your home is also provided.
  • Health insurance for you, and contributions for your family. Dental and vision are optional.
  • 401(K) matched 6%.
  • Mental health support is provided by Spill.
  • Employee assistance program.
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits.

We rock! It’s our people that make us successful. We have 100 employees globally and a fantastic culture. But don’t take our word for it - we’re proud to be named by Built In as one of the best mid-sized companies to work for in the US, Mogul awarded us as a top 100 workplaces for benefits, and we won an award with Flexa as one of the most flexible EdTech & Education companies.
