Requirements

The role:

Are you a designer with a natural affinity for digital communication, looking for a job in which you have creative freedom, can make an impact and have the flexibility to work from home (or the beach)? Then our open-minded and remote design team at Tyk, a visionary tech company, might be the right place for you.

If you’ve spend any time on our website you’ll see how creativity and quirkiness is woven throughout Tyk’s brand. We prioritise strong visual design throughout our marketing - it’s critical to the success of our brand in the (slightly beige) API management marketplace. As a result we are looking to grow our team with more designers passionate about building a world-class brand through meaningful, stand-out design work.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

• Create creative and compelling marketing campaigns.
• Design multi-channel campaigns from start-to-finish: from whitepapers to social banners.
• Refresh and re-populate website pages.
• Support on additional assets to support the other teams, like slide decks and factsheets.
• Works together with several teams across the whole of Tyk. There are teams working on our product, website, marketing campaigns, commercial projects, internal projects and more.
• Check if all incoming design requests that come your way have a proper brief.
• Plan your work, together with the team, according to deadlines and priorities.
• Be part of project and team meetings and contribute by sharing your ideas and thoughts.
• And then of course ‘design design design’. This role is a very hands on role where you will get the time to design creative and compelling work.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• A degree in design or equal by previous experience
• Strong skills in at least one of the following: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign
• Basic knowledge of Figma is a plus (if not, we’ll teach you)
• A strong eye for detail
• Excellent layout skills
• You can score some extra points if you have experience in one or more of the following:
  • Experience creating Instagram Reels and Tik Tok vertical videos
  • Website content design and layout
  • Know how to copy paste and edit HTML and CSS code
  • Strong illustration skills
  • Video editing / animation
