Technology Lead is a key role within in the domain and is responsible for a leadership of the EOC, one cross-functional team and for the delivery of business value in line with business needs and TUI’s strategy.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • We are looking for Technology Lead for our Enterprise Operation Center/EOC to become part of our ambitious team, as we continue our Digital transformation.
  • You will be working with the latest technology, with access to ongoing learning and opportunities for self-development, whilst establishing yourself in our global network of experts. We are an international team with people based in multiple markets across Europe and we aim to design solutions to be deployed across multiple markets so although location is flexible some travel may be required.
  • The EOC is strategically and centrally positioned in TUI’s Group IT. Its main tasks are:
    • ongoing monitoring – to ensure 24/7 trouble free operation of TUI’s IT
    • proactive workload – execute scripts, run IT housekeeping jobs, etc.
    • communication – have the overall view on TUI’s IT and provide information on it
    • troubleshooting – fix issues in a 1st line solution process to reduce effort in other teams
  • As a Technology Lead, you will be at the forefront of tackling multifaceted challenges while closely collaborating with stakeholders in diverse scenarios on a daily basis.
  • Focus is on the tasks done by the EOC. You ensure that the requirements of the IT and business departments are approved, described, coordinated with the EOC staff, transferred to the EOC support portfolio, and put into operation within EOC to ensure continuous IT operation of the IT components.
  • Your role demands resilience, innovation, and effective engagement to steer the EOC towards delivering support solutions that result in unparalleled digital experiences for our customers.
  • Your proficiency in various technologies coupled with your understanding of operating digital systems, will be pivotal in supporting other IT and business teams with operating their systems, considering at all components from infrastructure to applications.
  • Your role also entails identifying and actively managing impediments while ensuring transparent communication regarding progress, impediments, and solutions. You will excel at conflict resolution and possess advanced product knowledge to guide decision-making processes.
  • Additionally, in partnership with the Technology Team Lead, you will maintain the product roadmap, seek efficiencies proactively, promote and market the EOC and motivate your team to achieve agreed-upon strategic results.

  • Passionate about agile/scrum service delivery practices, driving continuous improvement, and delivering business value.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high customer value from an end-to-end perspective.
  • Strong technical acumen with a profound understanding of support processes, capable of leading complex technical projects and initiatives.
  • Mastery of moderation, presentation, visualization techniques, and feedback methods, with excellent influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Upholds a high standard of professional integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Firm believer in autonomy, empowerment, and accountability within teams.
  • Excellent communicator, facilitator, and influencer comfortable interacting with various technology and business stakeholders.
  • Fluent German and English is desirable.
  • Ability to comprehend technical concepts and convey them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Open-minded, inquisitive, and committed to lifelong learning.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and highly autonomous.
