Job Description

If you are passionate about travel, on top of the latest social media trends, possess excellent communication skills, and have a creative mindset, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the travel industry.

This role is being offered on a part time basis, 15 hours per week, and is on a 6 month fixed term contact. The closing date for applications will be Friday 7th February, we would encourage you to apply as soon as possible as applications could close early.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You will work with our creative agency to conceptualise, brief and deliver organic content for various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Twitter.
  • You’ll support the Social Media Manager to develop and execute clear strategies for our key social media channels that ladder up to our overall marketing objectives.
  • You’ll capture and edit mobile-shot content to put out on our channels natively in response to trending content and sounds.
  • You’ll use our social media management tool to track, analyze, and report on social media performance and identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including brand, content, PR, customer service, product and retail, to align our social media activities with broader marketing initiatives.
  • You’ll manage our organic content calendar and publish content both natively and via our social media management tool.
  • You’ll support the Social Media Manager to monitor our social media channels for potential reputational risks, manage social media crisis situations, and implement appropriate response strategies.
  • You’ll stay updated with the latest social media trends, platforms, algorithm changes, and best practices and implement strategies and tactics to keep us ahead of competitors.

ABOUT YOU

  • You’ll have an interest in and be an active user of a variety of social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter & TikTok.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and executing successful social media campaigns.
  • A strong understanding of various social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
  • You’ll be an excellent relationship builder as you’ll be required to integrate with different areas of the business and build relationships with key stakeholders such as Brand, Content, Customer Service, PR, Product, Airline and Retail.
  • You’ll be proficient in using social media management and analytics tools and experience reporting on key platform metrics.
  • You’ll have a creative mindset with the ability to generate unique content ideas and storytelling approaches.
  • Confident and adept at capturing native content for Instagram & TikTok.
  • You’ll be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • You’ll have a passion for travel and knowledge of the travel industry.
  • You’ll be able to travel to our Luton office once a week.
