Job Description

Join TUI Musement team as a Product Development Manager within Intercruises and play the key role in developing the commercial B2B interests of Intercruises in North America. This role will focus on business retention and developing and converting new business opportunities that can be generated through Intercruises Key Account Managers and through our own proactive business activities in each region. This role will also oversee supplier contracting and cost management to ensure that the best rates and tours can be developed for our clients. The role also involves engaging with the wider regional teams and further identifying and creates opportunities to strengthen and increase the Intercruises market share.

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • Creating financial & content proposals according to client specifications and deadlines
  • Ensuring competitive rates and attractive margins by working closely with regional teams and understanding the market dynamics
  • Communicating with Cruise Lines on ongoing Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Ad Hoc Quotation requests
  • Negotiating with our clients on commercial terms in order to achieve the budgeted outcome.
  • Acquiring new cruise business by participating in RFPs as per seasonal targets set
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to the Operations & Port Delivery teams on Ad Hoc quotations.
  • Negotiating and contracting vendors and suppliers to ensure best possible costs.
  • Monitoring vendors and suppliers to ensure quality assurance and cruise line guidelines.
  • Working with the Operations & Port Delivery teams to ensure alignment with Quoted and Delivered services
  • Proactively searching for new opportunities and converting them into profitable activities
  • Working with the Regional Director of Commercial Development to increase market share as well as working closely with the team in selecting and modifying existing products at the right price and to create new products tailored to the clients' needs.
  • Converting product into sellable content as part of creating and managing the RFP process through to its conclusion which will involve sending RFPS to the client, evaluating feedback and ultimately securing the business.
  • Creating standardized tour portfolios per port which include tour descriptions, quotation sheets, power point presentations, pictures
  • Creating appropriate handover files to ensure that operations have all necessary information to deliver all activities appropriately and with profit
  • Creating and updating master files and global calendar to ensure that the hub and operations have all important information.
  • Working closely together with the Hub to finalize payments and invoices.
  • Being flexible to assist with any request and task designated


ABOUT YOU:

  • Solid experience in the cruise industry with an emphasis on excursions and ground handling
  • College Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Additional languages advantageous
  • Experience in Customer Management is essential.
  • Someone with a methodical, organized approach towards the execution of the assigned tasks
  • Streamlining internal processes and ensuring effective communication within and between departments.
