Job Description

The role of Revenue / Sales & Distribution Manager is to improve the profitability of the owned, leased and managed hotels within the TUI Magic Life Hotels with a particular focus on the properties in Spain and Italy.

The role holder is responsible for maximizing revenue and profit for the hotel through strategic planning, pricing strategies, and effective inventory management. This role involves analysing market trends, forecasting demand, and implementing optimization strategies to ensure the portfolio’s financial success. A key priority will be managing and optimising the online sales channels across different platforms along with driving third party contracted segment.

The role holder must have excellent analytical skills and will be tasked with encouraging and embedding a culture of fact-based decision making across the portfolio. They will be diplomats able to impact and influence different stakeholders across the organisation.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Knowledge:
    • Clear understanding of the hotel(s) business strategies, budgets, market segmentation, competitive landscape, key demand drivers, commercial performance and product information.
  • Account Management
    • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new accounts growing and developing the partnership to meet and exceed hotel budgets.
  • Contracting and Negotiations
    • Support the negotiation process for contracting with wholesale and other partners to meet commercial objectives.
    • Use key data to make informed decisions.
    • Issue and finalise contracts ensuring that they reflect the exact agreements that have been negotiated.
  • Channel Management:
    • Oversee the hotel's presence on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) like Booking.com, Expedia, and others and drive performance by ensuring room rates and availability are up-to-date across all distribution channels
  • Revenue and Inventory Management:
    • Set optimal room rates based on market trends, demand forecasting, and competitor analysis using dynamic pricing strategies to adjust prices in real time, optimizing both occupancy and revenue.
  • Content Management:
    • Ensure all online platforms and third-party partners have accurate and compelling content, including high-quality images, descriptions, and reviews to showcasing the properties to target customers.
  • Technology Integration:
    • Work with Property Management Systems (PMS), Channel Managers, and Booking Engines to ensure seamless integration between the hotel’s systems and external distribution platforms.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Monitor performance metrics and prepare and analyse reports to track the effectiveness of distribution strategies recommending adjustments when appropriate.
  • Travel:
    • Regular travel to the hotel portfolio as well as sales trips and attending trade fairs.

ABOUT YOU

  • Several years of experience in Sales, Revenue and Online Distribution experience in a global brand.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and achieving revenue growth.
  • Sales, Revenue and Online Distribution experience in a global brand.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Computer literate and proficient across Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management systems (PMS, Channel Manager, Central Reservation System, Revenue Management System), as well as OTA platforms.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, persuasive, and able to develop effective relationships internally and cross-culturally.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in inventory, rates, and content across multiple platforms.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating contracts with partners in an international travel environment.
  • Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to impact and influence decisions.
  • Collaborative / Team player.
  • Structured and organised able to juggle different priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to travel.
  • Fluent English with ability to speak other languages: Spanish, Italian and German an advantage.
