Job Description

At Booker, we're serving thousands of businesses across the UK, and we're always looking for better ways to support our customers and colleagues.

We're looking for a Lead Product Manager (12m FTC) to lead one of our most strategically important product portfolios, covering customer propositions, sales enablement, personalisation and pricing. You'll be responsible for defining product strategy, leading a talented team, and delivering products and programmes that create value for customers, colleagues and the business.

Working closely with stakeholders across Booker and Tesco Group, you'll help shape the future of our Customer & Commercial products, balancing customer needs with commercial priorities. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence business direction, lead large-scale initiatives and make a meaningful impact at scale.

As a 12-month secondment, you'll have the chance to broaden your leadership experience, develop your product expertise and help drive transformation across our business.

  • Define and deliver the Customer & Commercial Product strategy and roadmap.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers.
  • Build product capability and embed best practices across the wider team.
  • Own and evolve customer-facing propositions, including sales enablement, loyalty and rewards.
  • Drive innovation across personalisation, pricing and customer engagement products.
  • Lead complex product and transformation programmes from discovery through to successful delivery and adoption.
  • Develop compelling business cases and ensure clear measurement of outcomes and benefits.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data, Design and business teams to deliver customer and commercial value.
  • Use customer insight, data and feedback to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ensure products are developed with appropriate consideration for security, privacy and governance requirements.
  • Experience leading product strategies and roadmaps in a complex environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing others.
  • A track record of delivering large-scale products or programmes that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer, colleague and business needs.
  • Experience using data and customer insight to make informed product decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring people together around a common vision.
  • A collaborative approach and a passion for creating great customer experiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with CRM, loyalty, rewards, personalisation or pricing products.
  • Experience within retail, wholesale or other customer-focused sectors.
  • Knowledge of customer and supplier-facing digital products.
