The Opportunity:

SAP Services Account Executive (SAE) – Cloud Success Services – leads customer adoption in the cloud to enable customers to realize the vision of the Intelligent Enterprise, future of work, and innovation.

SAP Cloud Success Services is a unique organization, focused on accelerating time-to-value, minimizing implementation risks and costs, driving standard best practices, and optimizing SAP Operations post go-live through the digital transformation journey.

As the key customer-facing asset in our Services Sales organization, the SAE is responsible for positioning SAP Customer Success Services to help our customers adopt SAP solutions and transform their organizations, while leading teams and acting as the Executive escalation point for Delivery.

Key activities will include:

  • Identifying solutions to accelerate adoption of SAP solutions in the cloud.
  • Conducting research and staying up to date with Industry trends, risks, and opportunities, as well as specific Customer objectives to effectively support customers and identify opportunities.
  • Building trusted relationships with our customers to support SAP-Customer partnerships.
  • Developing customer account strategies and plans, leveraging all resources available (e.g., SAP Lines of Business, marketing events, delivery resources, Subject Matter Experts, Thought Leadership, Industry experts, etc.).
  • Acting as the Services leader for all assigned customers, organizing and managing the Services team, acting as an escalation point, and being responsible for the consumption of all Services revenue.
  • Building a strong team around your customers and pursuits by selectively engaging the broader SAP organization.
  • Building working relationships with license/cloud sales, alliance partners, services delivery, and product management.
  • Being an expert in sales execution by understanding the customer’s decision-making process and developing relationships with key decision makers and progressing deals through the sales cycle.

Experience and Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development activities including generation and management of opportunities, bids, deal closure, and relationship management.
  • Strong Business Acumen with the ability to demonstrate to our customers how our services will generate value, reduce risk, create opportunities within the organization, and ultimately provide return on investment.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • SAP product and prior enterprise business application software or implementation experience is an asset; experience in Consulting delivery also an asset.
  • Prior sales experience within Public Sector is desired – general knowledge that drives the technology decision process and demonstrated history of success.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver professional quality presentations to customers.
  • Experience with complex sales, with timelines over a month and many lines of business and multiple decision makers.
  • Experience with complex negotiations and general knowledge of key negotiation terms and conditions and contractual structures for complex consulting engagements is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Formal education in business, IT, Engineering, Design, or related fields is an asset.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 224200 - 381200(CAD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
