The SRE team owns a service portfolio which lies at the heart of SAP Business Technology Platform. To ensure seamless operation, we are expanding our best-in-class Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team with experts at diverse level of experience.

What you'll do:

Live Site First - you'll adhere to a standard working schedule and participate in on-call rotations, ensuring rapid response to outages and major incidents
Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Design and implement improvements at all levels from infrastructure to running software
Implement and support system-wide observability capabilities
Embrace automation across all processes
Work hand-in-hand with Dev teams to engineer services for optimal availability, reliability, and efficiency, driving innovation within our platform
Learn and apply best practices and innovative approaches in the DevOps/SRE domain

Externally, you'll ensure that all our SLAs and customer commitments are met. Internally, you'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy, and we'll rely on your self-motivation and creativity to achieve those goals.

What you bring:

Experience working with IaaS/PaaS technologies
Experience managing cloud services
Solid understanding of operating systems, network architectures and container solutions
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems
Familiarity with ITIL principles and cybersecurity concepts is a plus
Sharp critical thinking skills with a dedication to engineering excellence
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
Strong time management and prioritization abilities
Proactive attitude and collaborative team player
Effective communication skills in English

Tech stack you bring, any of the following:

Unix/Linux and experience with BASH
Knowledge in one of the following programing languages will be considered as advantage: Python, Java, Go etc.
Experience with modern monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana)
CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Concourse)
Database (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDb) administration and support
Experience working with container technologies (e.g. Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience with Git or GitHub
