What you'll build

The focus of this position is to help customers consume SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) within their application projects as the cloud platform-of-choice. BTP is the engine for innovation through Integration, Extension and custom AI of the Intelligent Enterprise. SAP BTP Customer Success Managers (CSMs) work with the most cutting-edge and innovative SAP solutions and coach SAP’s most strategic customers

The BTP Customer Success Manager Expert (f/m/d) (CSM) role is responsible for growing the BTP Business in their assigned customer territory by developing relationships with technical and business decision makers, analysing and positioning new BTP potential in their accounts to ensure broad consumption of the portfolio both within and across application projects. BTP CSMs apply the „Future Ready Enterprise“ Methodology to help grow customers in their Maturity through Technical Advisory and identify new visionary use-cases through Consultative Business Development approaches.

  • Customer success and adoption: Proactively partner with customers to sustainably increase consumption of SAP BTP services. Coordinate activities with the Account Team, build and execute consumption plans - tailored and at scale, and engage with business stakeholders to identify and implement new BTP use cases.
  • Strategic advisory and transformation expertise: Analyze the big picture, apply expertise in digital transformation, and coach customers on both technical and business outcomes. Demonstrate added value and provide recommendations that prepare customers to make the best use of BTP solutions in alignment with SAP’s overall strategy and roadmap.
  • Primary point of contact and orchestration: Act as the strategic SAP BTP point of contact, orchestrating success resources across SAP and customers in line with the SAP BTP engagement model.
  • Customer advocacy: Serve as the voice of the customer to internal SAP stakeholders, ensuring customer needs and feedback are represented and addressed across the organization.
  • Collaboration and extended services: Work closely with Cloud Success Services, centers of expertise, Account Teams, Pre-sales, Product Management, Support, Services, Partners, and more. Depending on the engagement, you may also deliver premium subscription service.

What you bring

  • Industry and functional expertise: Bring experience from the IT industry in areas such as Solution Management, Project or Product Management, Implementation, Pre-sales, Customer or Solution Advisory, Customer Success, Consultative Sales, or Consulting.
  • Customer-focused Business Development: Combine a strong customer service mindset and passion for learning new technologies with high ambition for growth and success by actively solving business challenges, adressing future customer needs to achieve a growth target.
  • SAP and Business Suite knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of SAP Business Suite and the concept of “Clean Core” via BTP. Understand SAPs LoB Solution Portfolio to be able to bridge Business & Technology. Bring expertise in one or more SAP BTP portfolio areas—such as Integration Suite, Event-Driven Architectures, SAP Build (Process Automation, ABAP Cloud, Runtimes), or Custom AI.
  • Cloud and technology proficiency: Possess solid knowledge of public cloud platforms and providers, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud. Practice in Consumption-based Cloud Business Models is an advantage.
  • Communication and collaboration: Showcase excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics internally at SAP and externally with customers and partners. Familiarity with design thinking methodology is a plus.
  • Language requirements: Proficiency in both German and English at C1 level or higher is mandatory for this role.
