What you'll do

The BTP Security Engineering Unit serves as a foundation for security services that are consumed by cloud applications as well as other platform services across SAP - strengthening our and our customers’ deliveries. We own cross-concerns addressing the confidentiality and integrity of SAP BTP like cryptography, certificates and public key infrastructure, credentials management, and many more.

Extending our current portfolio, a central Key Management Service is planned as the next evolutionary step of SAP BTP. As part of a new multinational team, you can shape this next era from scratch. Following a cloud-native mindset, you will use cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes managed by SAP Gardener.

What you bring

• University Degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar

• Good development skills, e.g., Golang (preferred), Node.js, or willingness to learn Golang and a common understanding of Kubernetes and container technology
• Experience working in agile software development processes (Scrum)

• High interest of growing from software development into a more managerial role

• A team-player mindset with strong collaboration skills

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• You bring a positive mindset, are a team player, humble, transparent, and highly adaptable. You excel in curiosity and have a track record for quickly learning new technologies, concepts, and tools.

As part of the Security Control Plane team, you'll get to work on a wide array of security technologies, shaping the very elements that define SAP's security landscape.

This position can be filled in Walldorf, Berlin, or Dresden.
