We are seeking a (Junior) Developer with ideally some years of experience to join our team in Potsdam as part of the SAP BTP AI organization. This role is crucial in advancing the capabilities of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and facilitating a more adaptable future for enterprises. Our goal is to enhance BTP’s functionalities and support key initiatives, making significant contributions to enterprise software development.

This position provides a unique opportunity to shape and deliver future AI capabilities within SAP Business Technology Platform by designing and developing products and services in this area. Become part of a multi-disciplinary team, that focuses on execution and shaping the future of GenAI capabilities across our Business Technology Platform. This role requires a self-directed team player with deep technical knowledge and business acumen. In this role, you will be working closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Engagement Leads and many others.


What You'll Be Up To:

  • Collaborating with teams to streamline and improve processes on the SAP BTP through development of AI applications
  • Exploring software architecture and design alternatives
  • Being open to learning new technologies and software development practices as they emerge, with a focus on generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-augmented development, and relevant tools
  • Evaluating SAP's solutions to identify opportunities for improving function and user experience

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field with substantial experience in Software Development
  • Minimum of 2 years professional work experience in software engineering and software architecture designing, building, and distributing software in an agile environment
  • Your seniority makes you not losing the bigger picture of a to-be solution and you are confident to challenge and fill backlogs accordingly
  • Experience in delivering projects or products on the BTP, alternatively deep practical experience and understanding of
  • Hyperscalers cloud offerings (Azure, AWS, GCP) and technology trends
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript and/or Node.js as well as other software technology concepts, e.g. REST, SSO, Profiling, Testing etc.
  • Experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG, MCP, K8s
  • Fluency both written and spoken in English and German
