Job Description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

Customer Service and Delivery drives software adoption, achieves a clean core, and ensures that customers implement and run what they buy, while safeguarding their maintenance and subscription investments. Using our unparalleled expertise, we guide our customers across the end-to-end lifecycle to turn the benefits of digital transformation into reality.

Within our Global Center of Expertise (CoE) for Data Volume Management (DVM), we analyze customer solutions from a 360° perspective, including applications, databases, and underlying technologies. We support our Premium Engagement customers by providing Experts on Demand and delivering targeted services to address data volume management challenges.

As an Associate Business Processes Consultant in Data Volume Management, you will:

  • Deliver DVM services to SMEs and especially to top-tier Premium Engagement customers across different industries and regions.
  • Help customers optimize their system landscapes by analyzing and managing data growth, reducing operational cost, and enabling lean and sustainable architectures.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional, global delivery team and contribute to both service delivery and development of new offerings and tools.
  • Collaborate in strategic innovation programs such as AI Assistance from SAP MaxAttention and contribute to the next generation of service offerings.
  • Be involved in the full customer lifecycle from planning and safeguarding to implementation, operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will gradually take over customer-facing responsibilities and become an expert in designing and delivering scalable DVM strategies that help our customers keep their core clean and cloud-ready.

As part of a foundational training program, you will rotate through various departments, be assigned a personal mentor, and receive training in the following areas:

  • S/4HANA Applications (Financials, Banking, Insurance, or Utilities)
  • S/4HANA Technology (Column-based in-memory databases, NetWeaver fundamentals, mobile applications)
  • (ABAP) Basis Programming (Object-oriented programming, HTML5, Fiori, SAP Cloud Platform, Java)
  • Service delivery for SAP´s premium customer segment
  • SAP Data Volume Management Services

This structured program provides comprehensive insights into different aspects of SAP solutions, equipping you with the necessary skills and expertise to contribute effectively to a professional environment.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a motivated and analytical young professional or graduate who is eager to develop deep expertise in Data Volume Management and contribute to the evolution of SAP’s Premium Services.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering).
  • Solid analytical thinking, structured working style, and strong communication skills.
  • Interest in the interaction of business processes and IT systems, especially in SAP landscapes.
  • Team player mindset and willingness to take ownership and responsibility.
  • Very good German and English skills (spoken and written).
  • Strong interest in customer interaction and consulting across diverse business areas from IT architecture to application management.

Beneficial / A Plus:

  • Basic understanding of SAP systems and data structures (e.g., S/4HANA, ILM, Archiving).
  • Interest or experience in automation, data analysis, or scalable service solutions.
  • Familiarity with software tools used in system analysis, reporting, or monitoring.
  • Experience in customer support, service delivery, or consulting environments.

By joining our team, you will contribute to innovative service offerings and work alongside top experts to drive digital transformation through data volume management – helping our customers run better.

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will be part of the SAP Global Center of Expertise for Data Volume Management, a strategic unit within Premium Hub CoE Application Integration. We deliver services to large enterprise customers with complex IT landscapes and high expectations in terms of performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

In collaboration with SAP MaxAttention and the Intelligent Service Delivery Hub, our mission is to provide high-quality, innovative services that reduce data footprint, support transformation to S/4HANA and cloud, and ensure operational excellence. You will be empowered to develop into a subject-matter expert in DVM and to shape the future of SAP’s premium service offerings
