Your role in saving nature

The RSPB’s digital estate is vital to our mission to give nature a home – from rallying people together to speak up for nature, to inspiring a love of wildlife, to raising the income that pays for our conservation work in the UK and around the world.

We are looking for a Junior Developer with a growing list of skills and an abundance of enthusiasm and drive to grow within the Technology Design and Delivery team. You will work both individually and collectively to support new and existing platforms Developing your capabilities and experience to work effectively on a variety of tactical and strategic projects.

You will need to communicate effectively with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating initiative with a positive and proactive attitude. Demonstrate an aptitude to turn business requirements into innovative solutions and a desire to engage with the teams to problem solve technical roadblocks.

We expect you to already have a solid foundation in a range of technical languages and skills that will enable you to take on challenges with support and grow your experience. Through structured mentoring, we want to nurture your confidence to experiment with unfamiliar technologies. You will need to contribute to dynamic technical teams working in high frequency delivery cycles based on agile principles.

The Technology Design and Delivery Team use with a range of technologies and platforms and are always looking to develop solutions in the most suitable for each project. You may be working with a range of these including .NET Core, JavaScript, Angular, Node, NPM, Storybook and Chromatic.
