What does this role look like?
• Supporting the Food and Beverage team in day-to-day operations and deputising for the Food and Beverage Manager during their absence.
• Being commercially conscious and assisting with the delivery of the RSPB brand strategy.
• Understanding of KPIs and targets to deliver organisational goals.
• Able to build and maintain strong working relationships, assist with coaching the Food and Beverage Team.
• Being knowledgeable and confident in The RSPB cause, having meaningful conversations with visitors about Food and Beverage supports the fight for nature.
• Preparing and serving high quality, fresh food and drink which is sustainably sourced, keeping the environment at the heart of what we do.
• Providing a warm welcome for our visitors.
• Maintaining food hygiene and health and safety standards in the work environment.
• Working in friendly, encouraging teams, with support from colleagues across the organisation.
• Having fun at work, learning every day and meeting new people.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
• A positive outlook, willing to develop new skills and ask for help when needed.
• A genuine desire to deliver amazing experiences for our visitors.
• Can-do attitude, empowering each other to be confident in being curious.
• A passion for good food and drink and the importance of our natural world.
• Level 2 Food Safety, willing to work towards Level 3.
• Confidence in effective time management.
Desirable knowledge and qualifications:
• Understanding of working EPOS systems.
• GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent.
