Senior Early Talent Consultant, UK

Employment type:  Full time

Job Description

We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training, through the power of professional apprenticeships.

We’re one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe and rapidly expanding in North America, working with over 500 clients including Facebook, KPMG, Morgan Stanley and the NHS. In June 2022, we broke the EdTech funding record (again!) by announcing our $220m Series D, making Multiverse the UK’s first ever EdTech unicorn.

Join us on our journey to democratising access to the best careers and learning opportunities.

The Opportunity

The Admissions team sits at the heart of the Multiverse mission; assessing and matching candidates to life-changing apprenticeship opportunities. The Career Starter Admissions team consists of the Candidate Success team (assessing candidate suitability for our apprenticeships) and the Early Talent team (a specialist recruitment team that matches candidates to roles with some of the best companies in the world). The team works across multiple platforms and with multiple data sets on a daily basis.

We’re looking for a Senior Early Talent Consultant to lead the end-to-end recruitment and placement of apprentices for our most strategic client accounts. This role is critical to delivering Multiverse’s mission; creating an outstanding alternative to university through placing diverse candidates at some of the most exciting organisations in the world.

Please note that this role is hybrid in London, coming in one day a week to our office.

Their responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading the end-to-end recruitment process for large and/or complex hiring programmes and matching clients with candidates from our pre-screened pool of early talent

  • Advising clients in early-stage conversations on early talent strategy, potential recruitment approaches and options for selection and assessment

  • Recommending the best talent selection methods to clients and facilitating the design of assessment solutions together with the Psychometrics team

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients in order to best support their recruitment process of apprentices and to identify new business opportunities

  • Supporting apprenticeship candidates by leading interview preparation sessions and developing assets to inform their job-seeking strategies

  • Always look for ways to do things better - outstanding execution, data-driven decision making, and creating a scalable foundation for growth are at the heart of what we do

The right candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience designing recruitment processes and managing significant entry-level hiring volumes for large, complex, matrix organisations

  • Thought leader with demonstrated experience in shaping challenging conversations about early careers programmes, talent strategy, and diversity and inclusion

  • An extensive understanding of the early talent recruiting landscape and hiring diverse talent

  • Passionate about social and economic mobility and the goal of ensuring that all candidates have equitable access to apprenticeship opportunities

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of senior stakeholders and employers and influence decision-making at all levels

  • Comfortable, experienced in, and motivated by working with high-expectations stakeholders who move at pace, especially where meeting goals is a question of how and not whether; you are able to earn trust and retain it through difficult situations

  • Confident when working with data - accustomed to the rigorous use of data to make decisions and comfortable presenting to stakeholders

  • Passionate about upskilling colleagues and supporting the team through coaching, training, and developing the Early Talent playbook

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 6 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days

  • Health & wellbeing - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, and access to Spill - all in one mental health support

  • Hybrid & remote working - weekly or monthly visits to the London office

  • Equity - every Multiverse employee has ownership in the business through equity options

  • Team fun - weekly socials and regular offsite events

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

We’re an equal opportunities employer. And proud of it. Every applicant and employee is afforded the same opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. This will never change.

Safeguarding:

All posts in Multiverse involve some degree of responsibility for safeguarding. Successful applicants are required to complete a Disclosure Form from the Disclosure and Barring Service ("DBS") for the position. Failure to declare any convictions (that are not subject to DBS filtering) may disqualify a candidate for appointment or result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light subsequently.
